Herberstein House : a journey through time

Our house is a 200 year old vinedresser's cottage in the heart of Slovenian Styria. Surrounded with vineyards, it provides a perfect location for a short break from the modern world. Downstairs level is a time traveling machine with original furniture dating to the 1920s and 2 beds (bathroom is outside). Or you can stay upstairs and enjoy all the modern facilities such an en suite bathroom, air conditioning and a double bed. The choice is yours. Join me on a journey through time. Step into the time machine and experience life as it once was : with all the modern amenities to make the journey more comfortable... Grab a blanket and chill while enjoying a cup of coffee with the goats, or chill out and grab a glass of wine in the wine cellar : you're welcome to use all the chill space in and around the house. I'm available almost 24/7 by email, text or chat if you have any questions about the house or day trips in the area. I live in the downstairs area of the house so am usually not far away during your stay. 2020 Covid update: the house is thoroughly cleaned after each visit, hand sanitizer is available upstairs and downstairs. Safety distance of 1.5 m between the guests and myself can also be assured at all times. I always host just 1 group/couple so there is no interaction with other people on the premises. The best way to get from A to B - and see the most while doing so - is by car. Shuttles can bring you from/to the airports nearby and there a few Flixbus routes that go through this part of the country too, in case you're relying on public transport only. (e)Bikes can be rented in the nearby town of Ptuj. If necessary, I can also drop you off or pick you up somewhere as well. Our house is a cultural monument of local importance : representing a typical Pannonian house from the early 1800's. The house is covered with a thatched roof and its interior has been preserved to retain the historical character.
