Go Go's, Eden Valley the Garden of Grapes and Gums
Nestled into a tranquil acre block in the main street of Eden Valley township, Go Go's enjoys the peaceful serenity of country South Australia but with easy access to highlights of the Barossa and Adelaide Hills. With 2 large bedrooms including a cot for the littlies, Go Go's is perfect for couples, families, and wandering nomads who need to park up and power up. A fully equipped self catering kitchen and BBQ allow you the option of creating your own gourmet delights from your local purchases. In 2016 the Meadley family set up Go Go’s as a comfortable place for family and friends to enjoy when visiting from interstate and overseas. “Go Go” is the Swahili name for Grandma, and became Grandma Meadley’s nickname during her and Grandpa Meadley’s travels over seas. This seemed the perfect name for their home away from home when visiting family in Eden Valley. The Barossa and Adelaide Hills are renowned for their quality wines, and Eden Valley offers a taste unique to its cooler climate. However a visit to the area doesn’t have to be just about gourmet food and wine. There are activities for all the family including the whispering wall, the big rocking horse, Kaeserstuhl Conservation Park; local arts and crafts such as the Eden Valley Gallery; walking trails; or perhaps you are a group of avid cyclists who want to test yourselves on parts of the Tour Down Under routes; or wandering nomads who feel you want a place to rest from the road, park up with plenty of space and access to power whilst enroute around the country. Go Go’s has something for everyone. Go Go's is set on a 1 acre block that is exclusively yours to enjoy, so there is plenty of space to park, to stretch your legs or just rest up. We charge a flat nightly rate with no additional charges for extra adults, so you and your family and friends can enjoy the space at a great value. End your day of exploring, by sipping a glass of local wine on the swinging chair under the cool shade of the vines out the back, or soak up the warmth of the final rays of sun on the front veranda enjoying the native flora and fauna of Go Go’s garden. Both Karine and Michael are available by mobile throughout the day, and live locally. The Barossa and Adelaide Hills are renowned for their wines. Many people visit the region for the quality and varietals of wine they have to offer to suit every pallet. The cooler climate of the Eden Valley creates zesty Rieslings, the Barossa Valley offers bold Shiraz, and the Adelaide Hill's crisp clean whites are only a short drive away too. Local wineries include Henschke and Yalumba, plus numerous boutique cellar doors such as Fernfield Wines just 3km away and Edenmae 10km away in Springton. South Australia and the Barossa Region are proud of more than just their quality grapes, but other gourmet foods galore. There are lots of opportunities to "Eat Local" in the main towns, or purchase delicious produce from the Mount Pleasant or Angaston Farmers Markets if visiting on a Saturday morning, which you can relax and enjoy at home in the comfort of Go Go's. Alternatively wander 100m down the street to the friendly Eden Valley Hotel where they can provide a quality value for money feed. However a visit to the area doesn’t have to be just about gourmet food and wine. There are activities for all the family including the whispering wall, the big rocking horse, Kaeserstuhl Conservation Park; local arts and crafts such as the Eden Valley Gallery; numerous walking trails including the Lavender Trail; or perhaps you are a group of avid cyclists who want to test yourselves on parts of the Tour Down Under routes. There is a limited bus service through Eden Valley, however enjoying the flexibility of 4 wheels (or 2 if you are particularly fit and adventurous) allows you the opportunity to explore off the beaten track. Of course if you are inclined to visit the wineries there are details on tour options that will happily pick you up from Go Go's door. If there is no availability on the calendar please still get in touch as we may still be able to help.
