Cotswold stone cottage by Box woods (Gloucestershire). Ideal for rambling, horse riding, antique hunting etc. or just getting the fire going and chilling out. This very peaceful cottage has a comfy Sitting Room with wood burner, exposed stone walls and beams | Kitchen/Breakfast Room | 1 Double Bedroom | 1 triple Bedroom | Bathroom | Parking for 2 cars | Gardens front and rear| Terraced Close to Minchinhampton and Royal Tetbury, Nailsworth with its award-winning artisan bakers, Painswick very pretty for pub lunch/ cream tea. Easy drive to Cirencester, Painswick and Tetbury, a little further to Cheltenham, Bath, Bristol, Westonbirt and Cotswold Water Park. Bear in mind some roads are narrow so careful with wide cars. My family spent Christmases here for over 30 years, full of happy memories, I can share lots of tips on what to do and where to go. Only one well behaved dog please (downstairs and not on furniture). I live in London and my sister lives in Cheltenham half an hour away. Quieter end of the Cotswolds with less tourism. Tucked away in protected AONB conservation area. Good base for Bath, Cirencester, Cheltenham, Bristol etc. lovely villages include Minchinhampton, Painswick, Chalford (great playground and stream for younger kids). Free parking. Best approaching from south (Nailsworth end) if dark as the last bit is narrow Nearest train station: Stroud Sorry but no group bookings with the aim of having a knees-up please as it's a peaceful area and not fair on our lovely neighbours :) We are happy to accept 2 night bookings apart from late July and August which is a minimum of 5 nights per booking.
