Chambre l'Epicerie

Chambre l'Epicerie is in the heart of the Normandy region. Right in the middle of 2 major Motorways (A-13 from Paris to Caen; and the A-28 from Rouen to Le Mans and further South). The B&B is situated in the country side but has easy acces to the beautiful centres of the towns of Honfleur and Trouville and the more prestige city of Deauville. Further its an ideal place to reside for golfers (at least 20 beautiful courses within 30 mins distance). The Chambre was constructed in 2009 in our almost 200 years old house and was professionally renovated in 2015. The Chambre has its own independent entrance and it includes a full bathroom having a private shower, own toilet, washbasin. In addition there are a watercooker, a coffee maker and its equipped with satelite tv. Privacy is safegarded for both our guests as well as ourselves. It is important for us that our guests remember their stay here in the Chambre for a long time as pleasantly unique in all its aspects. In order to facilitate this we offer a private entrance; a private space in the garden with an own sitting corner and deck chairs in the 6000 mtr sized garden. In addition, depending upon the weather, the breakfast (incl. ham, egg, cheese, fresh croissant and baquette, marmelade, yoghurt, orange juice, coffee and/or tea) may be served in the garden. Furthermore there is an (above ground) swimmingpool; as well as wifi and parking (both free of charge) are availble. As owners we have our own living area, which is separated from the guest room. The guest room has its own private entrance. We are available for questions and we are happy to provide as much information as possible about the Normandy region and we offer a helping hand where we possibly can. Dining with us, called Table d'Hotes, is also possible. We offer a 4-course dinner, which includes an aperitif incl. an amuse, a starter, an intermediate, the main course, (french) cheese, dessert and coffee and/or tea. Dinner is served for a charge of € 30,- per person participating. This includes, all soft-drinks consumptions and beer and/or wine and what other drinks come to the table. Chambre l'Epicerie is situated half way between the villages Lieurey en Epaignes and is ideally placed between 2 major motorways. (both at a distance of approximately 15 kms (10 miles) the A-13 (Paris-Caen) and the A-28 (Rouen-Le Mans). Furthermore the Chambre is close to the beautiful region of the "Pays d'Auge. Public transporation is available through rail- and aviation. The town of Bernay has a train station at about 20 kms; connecting Paris-St.Lazare (duration of the journey 1hr en 30 mins). Furthermore there are the (international) airports of Deauville, Caen, Le Havre, Rouen and a bit further away Beauvais. There is a charge for Tourist Tax (€ 050 per adult per night stay), which will be dealt with by Airbnb
