Mini chateau in St-Emilion /Bordeaux wine region

Gorgeous home 15mins from Saint Emilion and 45 mins from Bordeaux. Surrounded by vines and rolling hills this home is a beautiful retreat. It is renovated to a modern standard but retains the charm of a 17th Century property. In summer the gardens are lovely there is a 10m pool and outdoor dining area. Close to some famous vineyards and lovely markets - a food and wine lover’s dream! The house is located in the heart of the St Emilion wine region, with towns of historical interest (Castilion and Rauzan) nearby. You can have access to the whole home, a 17th Century farmhouse, which is of modern design and generally a high standard of accommodation. It is very quiet and peaceful. There is a lovely 10m+ pool which is heated. Pool recliners, outdoor shower and poolside dining a possibility. There is an outdoor dining table that seats 6 people on a terrace by the pool. Beautiful, large garden with lots of space to entertain outside. The kitchen is well equipped and modern, there is also a large dining table in the main living room that seats 8 people. In winter there is central heating and a large fire place in the living room that can be used by guests. Please supply your own firewood. I provide bedding, linen and towels. The fireplace in the bedroom is not in service as it is decorative only and has been blocked. The whole home. I am easily contactable by phone and email. My housekeeper lives locally and is able to assist when I am not available. All distances by car: Saint Emilion- 15 mins Libourne town centre - 20mins (Great market on a Sunday) Bordeaux city centre - 50mins Bordeaux airport - 45 mins Rauzan - nearest village 5mins (boulangerie, banks, pizzeria, small market on a Saturday morning) Branne - 12 min drive (excellent restaurant, Carrefour, fishmonger, bank/atm, boulangerie) Car - parking on site for 3 cars It’s a lovely place but relatively remote. Nearest village with boulangerie and butcher is 5 mins drive. Closest large supermarket is 15min drive. So I suggest a car is needed to make the most of the surroundings. Please supply your own firewood and coal for the bbq. You are surrounded by vines and hills so sometimes the wifi can be patchy/weak. There is generally no phone reception (it is a white zone area) in the house or fixed landline telephone and whilst the TV has Netflix/Internet TV options but it does not have a satellite. It’s a place to switch off and relax! The fireplace in the bedroom cannot be used as it is decorative only and the flue has been blocked off. There is a pool alarm but no fence around the pool.
