Double bedroom in modern central/zone 2 flat overlooking Limehouse Marina, (near Canary Wharf) which is besides the River Thames. Quiet, safe neighborhood, with great transport links to get you swiftly across London. Dockland Light Railway (DLR) transit station only 2 min walk. Limehouse Marina is where Regent's Park Canal and River Thames intersect - great for running, cycling...or simply walking. DLR approx. timings: • Canary Wharf (<10 mins) • Westfield Stratford shopping mall (c. 20mins) • Historic Greenwich (c. 20 mins) • ExCel exhibition centre (c. 20 mins) • City Airport (c. 20 mins) and... • Olympic Pk (45 min canal walk) • Buzzing Brick Lane and Shoreditch area (c. 15 min via bus) • Oxford Street (<25 mins via DLR/tube) Owner resides at property - there are no other guests. Besides your room, you will have access to all usual amenities e.g. kitchen, microwave, washing machine. You're welcome to have your breakfasts, meals etc. on the balcony. You can use the living room and the TV (none in room as yet). Most visitors want to be out exploring London during the evening, however, if for instance, you're working during the day and want a lounge evening - no problem...just let me know so I can adjust any plans. You have your own room with 1 double bed. Guests should not expect to sleep on living room sofa (as this then limits access to kitchen area and makes the apartment look untidy). You, and anyone else in your booking, are the only guests - no other AirBnB guests will be staying. Looking forward to hearing your travel stories and plans...when I'm around. Occasionally I work from home - I will always make time to help guests, but also please appreciate if I have deadlines to meet, my time may be limited. • Limehouse Marina is where Regent's Park Canal and River Thames intersect - great for running, cycling, or simply walking. • Head east alongside the river Thames to Canary Wharf (15 min walk), or carry on to Greenwich, via under-river foot tunnel (40 mins). • Walk west for a riverside walk through historic Wapping to Tower Bridge (< 30 mins) • Walk north up the Regent's Park canal to Victoria Park (< 30mins) - quirky Broadway Saturday market is just beyond, or you can stroll to 2012 Olympic park (45 mins). • Numerous bars/restaurants in nearby Canary Wharf, where you can also take the river bus to central London, or O2 Arena. • Buzzing Brick Lane, Spitalfields, Shoreditch is a few bus stops away. • Also local pubs, cafes – this historic local pub ‘The Grapes’ is a must-visit. • Just 2 minutes walk from Limehouse Dockland Light Railway (DLR) transit station. • From Bank station (2 stops away), you can pick up the Central / District / Circle underground lines – and swiftly get to London’s famous tourist attractions. Standard breakfast is a pick and mix option of: - cereal - bread/toast - jams/honey - tea/coffee/milk - juice Guest are welcome to cook their own food.
