THE LOCATION This property is conveniently located within 10 minutes of Red Rocks Amphitheater, shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, hiking, fishing and much more. Only 25 minutes from downtown Denver and 45 minutes to the closest ski resort. DIA is just under an hour drive. The Guesthouse is located on the top of a mountain at the end of a long driveway. If you're coming during winter months a 4 wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended. Uber and Lyft service this area THE SPACE The guest house is completely detached from the main home. It has a private entrance. We often do not see our guests, but please don't hesitate to say hello if you wish to! The interior space is decorated in a rustic Colorado mountain style. The room is satiated with natural light and incredible views coming in from windows on every side. It is equipped with a Nespresso coffee maker, electric stovetop, microwave, refrigerator, and outdoor grill. All other appointments are of the highest quality. The space is cozy but you will never want to leave. THE SLEEP The bed is a converted, beautiful leather and cowhide couch that has been made into a real queen size bed (It is not a pull-out couch). It has an amazing plush pillow top Simmons Beautyrest mattress and Italian Vintage washed, 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sateen sheets. It's like sleeping on a cloud. A day or two before your arrival, you will receive a message that includes detailed driving directions, and a code to access the property. We do not need to be present to let you in, so a late check-in is no problem at all. Please note: Access to the property will be denied until the full legal name of both guests is provided. You may be asked to show ID upon arrival. If the IDs do not match the names on the reservation, the reservation will be canceled without refund. Check-in is 3pm (or any time after). Check-out is by 11am. Early check-ins and late check-outs are generally not available. It takes the entire time between guests to properly clean, sanitize, and prepare the room for the next guest. Guest have access to outdoor living areas all around the house, fire pits, hiking trails, horseshoe pit, outdoor grill, hot tub, and more. The outdoor area is shared but there are enough separate seating areas that we can all still have privacy, if desired. Usually, we don't even see each other. Only Verizon and Sprint work in this area. 4-wheel drive vehicles are strongly recommended in the winter months (October through March/April). A happy golden retriever named Aston may be there to greet you. We often do not cross paths with our guests. But we are happy to help with anything you may need during your stay and are quick to respond. The home is located on a mountaintop overlooking Bear Creek, a beautiful canyon, mountain views, and the skyline of Denver. There are no close neighbors. It's a quiet, peaceful area where you can unplug and enjoy nature. Uber and Lyft service the area. Only Verizon and Sprint work in this area. Red Rocks is less than 10 minutes away. DIA is just under an hour away. Closest ski resort is a 45 min drive. Restaurants, Bars, downtown Denver, Grocery stores are all within 10-25 minute drives. The entire property is strictly NON-smoking, inside and out. No smoking cigarettes, vaping, e-cigarettes, marijuana, crack, or whatever else people smoke. Only Verizon and Sprint work in this area. Weekly rate does not apply to holidays. We don't host weddings or parties. No animals allowed, even ESA's. This is due to a safety matter and allergies. Please inquire if you have questions. Our cancellation policy is strict. We encourage our guests to obtain travel insurance in the case of cancellations, as we do not make exceptions and will not extend a refund outside of our cancellation policy. A refund for a cancelled stay equals a loss of income for us. Natural disasters, extreme weather, power/internet outages are out of our control. Although rare, these things can happen. We will not refund for these instances, aligning with airbnb's policy. We will do anything we can to ensure your comfort. Please know that in booking our home you are agreeing to follow the house rules. In such case rules are broken you may be asked to leave without a refund. This is a mountain house which means it's subject to severe weather conditions such as wind, rain, snow, and ice. The house is located on the top of a mountain. We have a 1/4 mile long dirt driveway which switchbacks up the mountain. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended during winter months. We plow the driveway in cases of heavy snow (on the rare occasion we are out of town, we will be unable to do so). We are on our own septic system. Be mindful of the amount of paper products you flush. Having a sustainable water and sewage system is environmentally friendly but we are not attached to city water/sewage so please try to be extra attentive not to flush anything except toilet paper. Removing items that clog the system will be the responsibility of the tenant. If you get blood or make-up on the bedding or towels, please feel free to take them home with you. They are now yours. The cost for replacement will be forwarded to you. Makeup removing wipes are provided for you. If you need more please let us know. Unauthorized late check-outs will be charged in accordance with Airbnb's policy (daily rate). Due to a recent event with a guest, we have decided to install security cameras around the exterior perimeter of the property for both the safety our guests and ourselves. The cameras view all exterior areas from the gate at the bottom of the drive, to the parking area, all the patios, walkways to the front doors, hot tub patio, and the private sides of the main home that guests do not access. The camera footage will only be reviewed in the event of vandalism, theft, or noncompliance to our house rules. There are no cameras inside. We are available to answer any questions you may have.
