Shadowbrook Farm Stay

Welcome to the Shadowbrook Farm Stay. Tucked in the hills of upstate New York, this (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) 's Shaker barn has been restored into a beautiful guest house. It sits upon a two hundred acre working pasture raised meat farm. This barn was used to hold, and milk cows for two hundred and fifty years. Guests will have access to portions of the farm lands which are highlighted on the maps provided in the Farm Stay manual. Farm tours are also available with a reservation. (Hidden by Airbnb) : @shadowbrook_farm The barn is set with a very open floor plan, it essentially all one room besides the bathroom. There is bed space for four, a very high loft with a king bed, and a bunk bed down stairs in the back corner. This space could potentially sleep many more than four (air mattress available). It is heated with radiant heat. It has a fully functional kitchen with a beautiful maple counter top. Cabinets and other decorations are all shaker inspired. There is a large fireplace and also a stone fire ring on the patio, both of which can be stocked of wood upon request. The television is run off of the wifi, it is a smart TV. Guests may sign in to their respective accounts on the various media apps. If not, arrangements can be made. Frequently asked questions: • Firewood and kindling is not provided, but can be purchased at our Farm Store or local Stewart’s shop. • Farm Store hours are Wednesday- Sunday 9am-5pm If we are closed the days you are here, we can schedule a time for you to come shop • For a $5 fee, your fridge/freezer/pantry can be stocked with items from our farm store • The Farm Stay is equipped with toilet paper and paper towels; However, bring extra if you think you’ll need more than provided. • The dumpster is located in the barnyard (where the farm store is located) • Farm Tours (50% discount for guests) meet in the barnyard where the Farm Store is located. You must make a reservation at least a day in advance. Please understand we are a busy farm and can only accommodate tours at certain times of the day depending on the season. This house is 13 miles from Jiminy Peak, 13 miles from Chatham, and 25 miles from Hudson. We are also 15 miles from the wonderful Tanglewood, which happens to be a very scenic drive. The surrounding towns (Hudson, Chatham, Kinderhook, and Great Barrington) host a variety fabulous food options. Guests are provided with a list of our top restaurant picks. We are in the country which is very spread out. It is best to commute by car. There are three train stations surrounding us - the Hudson Station (23 mi), the Pittsfield Station (13 mi), and the Albany-Rensselaer Station (15 mi). We do have both Uber and Lyft services operating in our area and between these stations.
