The lot is encompassed on 3 sides by the original mid 1800s stone fencing, and on the 4th side by a row of tall evergreens. - Next to Pristine Batavia Creek - Midcentury Restored House - Amazing Mountain Views & Quiet One time $50 pet fee per dog. $100 per dog for stays longer than 21 days. Dogs not allowed on furniture or beds. We ask that owners clean up after their dogs inside & outside the house. Sorry, no cats. An easy drive from NYC, this mountain vacation home is ideally located in the heart of the Western Catskills. The spacious house feels very private and secluded and yet you are just off NY Route 30 and a very well stocked supermarket is less than ten minutes away. - 15 minute drive to Belleayre and Plattekill Ski Centers - equidistant to both. - wood-burning stove, fire pit, horseshoe game, football, frisbee, badminton, hammock, yAdirondack chairs. - Propane BBQ on the large wooden deck - Huge windows throughout - Close to kayaking, golf, galleries, amazing farmers’ markets. - The house borders fields of the Hubbell Family Farm, an historic Catskill farm that sells its own maple syrup, fresh eggs, apple cider, beef and pork at its country store just down the road. - Endless hiking, skiing (downhill and x country), biking, motorcycling, fishing, running, walking, swimming, eating, antiquing. - Close to Margaretville, Roxbury, Arkville, Andes, Pine Hill, Phoenicia, Delhi and Woodstock. Great restaurants, nature and culture all around you. Queen bed in the giant upstairs loft master bedroom, soft beige wool carpeting, writing table overlooking Hog Mountain and a large comfy bean bag chair for fun. It has an en-suite windowed bathroom with shower. Full size bed in the second bedroom with double exposure corner window and new soft wool carpeting. Full size bed in the brand new third bedroom with wide plank wood flooring and gorgeous mountain view. All three bedrooms have cozy down duvets and extra soft white large bath towels are provided to make you feel pampered. There is a large L shape couch with a queen bed pull out in the living room, and a full size stow away floor mattress fits the upstairs loft for kids. The living room and dining room have gorgeous wide plank heart of pine floors, and the kitchen has travertine tile floors. Beautifully renovated kitchen with lovely wood counters, breakfast bar with stools, four burner gas range and a deep undermount sink. The four sided windowed-kitchen is open to both the dining and living rooms and is definitely made for the chef in your group! The ice cream maker has turned out to be a hit, enjoy! There are kayaks (2 adult one child) which you are welcome to use — incredible kayaking center just 5 minutes away. There is excellent WiFi and a new Large Roku TV with live TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney, YouTube, Hulu etc). A new Bluetooth stereo connected to high end Klipsch RP 600M speakers awaits. Great sound for watching movies or listening to music through your phone/tablet. In addition there are 2 Vizio large portable speakers that will connect to your phone/tablet. Wake up with NPR in your bedroom, bring a speaker outside for tunes at the BBQ, or take it to the bathroom to listen to your favorite music while showering. You decide. Note: while the house normally stays cool throughout the summer naturally, there are window ac units in all three bedrooms for the extra hot days. Our housekeeper, Carrie, offers the option of a food and supply service. If you're interested, she can deliver prepared food or groceries, and any other items that you'd like to have in the house for your arrival. She also bakes festive cakes if you are having a special occasion. Let us know a few days in advance we’ll do our best to oblige:) Guests have access to the entire house. Guests have complete privacy, but please feel free to contact us. Anything you need, just ask and we'll answer quickly. You'll have our cell phone numbers, so you can text or call. Our location is central to all Catskill activities. Margaretville is a lovely walkable town with a few very good restaurants, a large supermarket, and a superb golf course. Arkville is super quaint and it’s where you will find the antique train ride, a fun restored bowling center and a new sports center with an amazing indoor pool. Halcoltsville is tiny and charming and has the best kayaking on lake Wawaka and the iconic round barn farmers market. Roxbury is famous for its stately Victorians on Main Street, a thriving arts scene and a funky public radio station and it’s home to the beloved Plattekill ski mountain. Pine hill has Bellayre Ski center in winter & Bellayre beach in summer. The house is located at the end of a private country road. It is essential that you have a car to get around since Catskills activities are widespread. There is a one time $50 pet fee per dog up to 21 days, and $100 per dog for stays longer than 21 days. Dogs are not allowed on furniture and particularly not in beds. We ask that pet owners clean up after their dogs both inside and outside the house. Sorry, we cannot allow cats due to allergies.
