St Drogo's ~ named for the patron saint of shepherds and coffee ~ is a light filled small stone barn conversion, close to the vibrant seafront town of Aberystwyth in mid Wales. Designed to maximise space, light and warmth, it is fully equipped for modern living. It can be taken in conjunction with Aberdale Cottage - (3 bedrooms - sleeps 9 people) part of the same Victorian barn complex. Taken together, you would have use of 4 bedrooms and we can accommodate 11 people. Furnished with a eclectic mix of antiques and modern furniture that celebrate its transition from traditional working barn to comfortable home, St Drogo's is full of character - the perfect base for anyone wishing to visit or work in Aberystwyth offering self catering accommodation in a peaceful rural setting, yet only 5 miles from the town, with parking and wifi. Situated 5 miles from historic Aberyswyth with its shops, Victorian seafront promenade and with east access to the coast from Aberaeron to Aberdovey - Aberdale is a great base from which to explore Wales St Drogo's is on a working farm. We are available if you need us but we assume that you prefer to spend time with family and friends. Realistically you need a car! There are buses from Aberystwyth but they are not frequent and you would still need to walk from the farm to the bus stop We are on a working farm and guests are asked to respect this. Gates must be kept closed and grazing areas are out of bounds. This is for your safety as well as that of our animals WE DO NOT ALLOW ANY PETS AT ALL AS WE ARE A WORKING FARM AND VISITING ANIMALS REPRESENT A BIO SECURITY RISK. We have a min stay of three nights - 4 nights over Christmas and New Year's Eve
