Peaceful 3 Bedroom Cottage in the Welsh Hills
Bwlch y Groes Faen is our family getaway - a traditional Welsh cottage located in the beautiful Llyfnant Valley. Stunning views, famous walks, the rolling Welsh hills (we are close to Snowdonia National Park) and family-friendly activities are all on the doorstep. Update for August 2020: we now have fibre broadband! Bwlch y Groes Faen is a traditional rustic Welsh cottage. It has buckets of character and has a really cosy feel. The cottage underwent an extensive refurbishment in summer 2018, including a new roof, new windows throughout and a new paint job. The cottage has three good sized bedrooms - two have double beds and one has a bunk bed. There is also a sofa bed in the sitting room for extra guests if needed. The cottage has fibre broadband and Wi-fi, as well as a television and DVD player (for those wet days when you just want to lie on the sofa). The cottage is nestled into the hillside and set in a peaceful garden, through which a hill stream runs. Guests have access to the main part of the cottage. The small child's nursery upstairs is out of bounds, as is the toolshed and garage (which adjoin the cottage). Unfortunately we are not available in person, however we will be at the end of the phone if anything is required. We do have someone that helps us in the area if there are any emergencies. The cottage is a 5 minute drive (or 15 minute walk) from the market town of Machynlleth. Many famous walks and cycle tracks into the beautiful Welsh hills run close to the property. The seaside (including Borth and Aberdyfi) are under a 30 minute drive away. Machynlleth train station is regularly serviced from Birmingham and Shrewsbury and is a 5 minutes taxi away from the cottage. Machynlleth town is a 15 minute walk from the cottage.
