D Canal House - Bungalow Wathsudda

Wathsudda is one of three self catering bungalows at D Canal House . The bungalow is air conditioned and consist of a double bedroom, a very spacious bathroom , walk in wardrobe , a kitchenette and has two verandas leading to a private garden. It is also air conditioned . D Canal House is an ideal place to switch off from the outside world and re connect with nature through the sound of flowing water coming from the stream and ponds of the tropical gardens. Note : Breakfast is available at an additional 1500 LKR per person. Please make a request when making your booking The complex consist of a Main House with 3 bedrooms and 3 bungalows. There is a comunal pool and surrounding lush vegetation and vegetable garden where one can enjoy the colorful sunrise or sunset Sri Lanka is famous for. The family took great care in blending the newly built buildings into the surroundings and in fact a lot of reconditioned furniture, apertures, clay roofing and intricate carvings were used to maintain the natural beauty of the surrounding areas while remaining true to the heritage of Sri Lanka. The washed terracotta color used on all the outside walls , gives the impression that these buildings have long been there and will become part and parcel of the landscaped tropical gardens once the vegetation establish itself. D Canal House offers the best of both worlds in Mirissa because it offers all the trimmings of the modern world but is situated in a tranquil area where locals live and is only a 10 minute walk from the famous Mirissa beach and all the bars and restaruants.
