Lake Macquarie leisure and pleasure

Welcome to your private, recently renovated 2 bedroom self contained flat, literally less than a stones throw to the the beautiful shores of Lake Macquarie. From here you can enjoy safe swimming, sailing, skiing and fishing right at your doorstep. Want more?, you can enjoy 4WDs on local beaches and the nearby Watagan Mts with easy rainforest walks and picnic areas. Hunter Valley vineyards are 40 minutes with Newcastle port and its famous surf beaches only 25 minutes, so why aren't you here? Accommodating 4 comfortably (6 with the double sofa) in 2 bedrooms (1 x queen, 1 x 2 singles or double) your private flat has aircon and ceiling fans throughout and a fully equipped kitchen. We supply linen, towels and bathroom supplies, picnic and fishing gear. There is so much to do around here that most of our holidays we stay home. You can do heaps or nothing, lay in the sun with a good book (supplied), netflix, PS3 , free wifi etc, or get up for early morning walks around the foreshore to witness some amazing sunrises and birdlife. Though you have private accommodation with your own entrance via a side gate and some steps, as the flat is part of our home, access is available through our home if necessary. We are usually at home if not at work. If you are new to this area and time permitting, we would love to show you around the beaches, mountains or the fabulous lake. We could rustle up some fishing or picnic gear, eskies etc to loan you. Tents are available if your kids want to camp in our large, fully fenced backyard. Sorry we can't accommodate your pets as we already have pets of our own. Once your here you could just about lock your car and leave it. You can enjoy beautiful walks around the foreshore or through the local bushland. The local business precinct is less than 3ks walk and boasts RSL, Workers and Royal Motor Yacht Clubs, plus the spectacular heritage listed Toronto Hotel. If golf is on your agenda there are two courses within a 10 min drive. Cafes and restaurants, pharmacies and supermarkets are all local. A 200m walk will get you to our local servo, bottleshop, Asian takeaway and gourmet pizza shop. Fassifern train station is about 3ks and can get you to our beautiful Newcastle Harbour in about 20mins, then a short light rail trip to spectacular beaches , Fort Scratchely military museum (that fires their big cannons frequently) and the venue for the last round of the V8 supercars in December. Closer to home we have a bus stop at the end of the street, the local Toronto Hire cars offer a professional and prompt service at great rates while the pubs and clubs normally have courtesy buses available. Cycling is becoming more popular in the area with the addition of shared cycle ways right on the lake foreshore in several areas. For the kids we have nearby parks, playgrounds and skate parks just a short stroll around the waterfront.
