The Crow's Nest / Horses Welcome!

Bring your horses! Excellent trail riding for all skill levels. A unique place to stay with loads of charm, and access to a variety of sightseeing and related outdoor activities. Come hang in Eagle Creek, Oregon. Our farm is located near the Clackamas and Molalla River Recreational Corridors, Mt. Hood National Forest, and Sandy River. Milo McIver State Park is 15 minutes away, and Eagle Creek a mile down the road! The ultimate location for Northwest adventures! Designed to provide privacy and a farmhouse feel with all the modern amenities, our 500 Square Foot Studio sits on the top floor of our shop, and is the perfect get away for outdoor enthusiasts & those wanting a "Farm Stay" experience. Full kitchen, one bath with a cozy soaking claw foot tub, one Queen Bed, and room for a second Queen Sleeping Roll (provided by host), OR Queen air mattress, OR Twin Sleeping roll, outdoor gas grill, and enclosed entrance. Close enough to access the city, while surrounded by a park like setting, The Crow's Nest is the perfect location to access all the Northwest has to offer. Horses are welcome guests! Organic, local pasture for your ponies to munch on and roam (approx. 2.5 acres w/electric fencing). Plenty of space to maneuver up to two horse trailers and/or living quarters trailers. Access to fresh water and power. Various types of trail riding to offer in every direction. Other types of "horse power" are welcome. Dirt bikes, boating, rafting, and cycling are at your fingertips (must haul to trail heads / boat ramps) or just enjoying relaxing on the property is enough to satisfy. Campfire pit, large landscaped yard, gas grill, picnic table, outdoor furniture, flat / open pasture, exterior water / hose source close to pasture, and garden available for your use. **Host owned horses may be available for use, along with necessary tack. Host must be present to ensure appropriate support of horse and rider in most instances. Hosting support is dependent upon your preference, the time of year, and requested services. We are located right off a two lane highway in a rural setting. Although there are properties near us, we are on 5 acres and have a great deal of privacy. The space is open not wooded. We are surrounded by nurseries, country roads, and in view of the highway. Although there is traffic activity nearby, it is non intrusive. The property includes ducks & chickens, goats, and two mares. There are wild bunnies, barn cats, and our domestic cats roaming about. The formal garden area produces a variety of vegetables, ornamentals, herbs, berries & fruit seasonally. We support a small, junior orchard comprised of fruit bearing trees. Our 1910 historic farm house sits on the property and provides an old farmhouse feel, complete with a wrap around porch and outdoor clawfoot bathtub. We are in Christmas tree farming central, amidst fresh air, bird song, and beauty. There is limited bus service through Tri-Met Public Transportation systems. There is a connection to the City of Sandy's 'SAM' shuttle service. Nearby, at the Sandy Fred Meyer, there are shuttles that transport skiers to and from Mt. Hood ski resorts (Mt. Hood Meadows, and Timberline). NW Whitewater Adventures operates rafting trips down the Clackamas River beginning in late Spring and ending in the Fall. 6 miles down the road there are paddle board and other non-motorized water activity rental outfits if you choose to spend your time on Estacada Lake. Promotory Park, with motorized boat rental options for water skiing and general boating activity is 20 miles away. The studio entrance is located within our shop. At times, the host may be accessing the shop for necessary farm equipment. The studio entrance can be locked from the inside.
