Step outside this cosy hut, straight into the woods of The Forest of Dean, where you can walk or ride your bike through one of the UK's Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. If you're lucky you may be able to spot wild deer or bore! The Gamekeeper's Hut is placed between the River Severn and Wye Valley, in the heart of The Forest of Dean. The Hut is a self-contained studio for you to explore the beautiful nearby areas. Perfect for walkers looking for a relaxing and peaceful woodland stay. Our hut is a studio room with a private balcony. Use the kitchenette to prepare all your meals with its own induction hob, sink, toaster & kettle. Guests have their own private bathroom inside the hut with a sink, shower and toilet. The hut has a double bed, wifi, smart TV (guests can log-in to their own netflix/ on-demand accounts), sofa and dining room table with chairs. Private balcony connecting to the hut, with outdoor table and chairs, where you can sit and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Forest of Dean. Fresh bed linen, towels, tea & coffee to be provided on your stay. Please do note that The Game Keeper’s Hut is located within the back garden of the owner’s property and within close proximity to neighbouring properties. The Gamekeeper’s Hut is accessed via our property with back garden access directly to the woods. A large private balcony is at the front of the Hut for guests to use. The Gamekeeper's Hut is set on in the back garden of our property - I will be available throughout your stay should you need any help. Set between The River Severn and River Wye, in the historic town of Cinderford, The Gamekeeper's Hut is in the heart of The Forest of Dean. By foot, you can walk to the top of Cinderford town, to appreciate the stunning views overlooking the Severn estuary. Just outside of Cinderford lie the villages of Littledean, Drybrook and Ruardeen which offer a good range of welcoming, country pubs and inns. Nearby take a three mile long Sculpture Trail through the forest at Beechenhurst near The Speech House hotel or explore Linear Park, a wildlife conservation site, which boasts a cycle path and footpaths that take you alongside the route of the former railway branch line. The Gamekeeper's Hut is a 10-15 min walk to the centre of Cinderford town which has a Lidl and 2 Co-op supermarkets. The town has many local take-aways, butchers, cafes and other amenities, all within walking distance. The Cotswolds, Monmouthshire, Bristol, Herefordshire are all within an hours driving distance if you wish to explore further afield. Travelling to the Royal Forest of Dean By Car: - 120 miles west of London (via the M4) - 65 miles from Birmingham (via the M5) - 35 miles from Bristol to the centre of the forest Nearest train stations are Gloucester, Lydney or Cheltenham. If travelling by train, we are happy to do pick-up and drop-off from Gloucester train station (20 minute drive) at an additional charge. Nearest bus stop is a 5 minute walk from The Game Keeper's Hut with links to most areas in the Forest of Dean as well as Gloucester. Bike hire can also be arranged at an additional charge. Please note the hut is within close proximity to the owners main house and also neighbouring properties. No parties or loud guests. Maximum of 2 guests per stay.
