The Foothill House is open, spacious and full of light, with expansive views of the Sierra Nevada foothills, with decks, patios and a small shady backyard, along with a great room, a recreation room and a washer and dryer. Internet is non-shared, high-speed Xfinity/Comcast internet with 75 Mbps download/6 Mbps upload speed. The Foothill House is located at the end of secluded residential lane between the historic towns of Placerville and Coloma, CA. Deer browse right outside your window. The local wildlife includes foxes, coyotes, and cougars. A great variety of birds live in the native, majestic trees on the property. Acorn woodpeckers, red shouldered hawks, and CA quail are year round residents. The bird baths are visited by robins and wrens. You will have access to all rooms and areas of the house except a locked office and a locked bedroom, all the area around the house, deck, backyard, patio, paved parking area. The Hosts will be available to assist within 24 hours when in the area. If we are traveling, our representative will be available within 24 hours. We have on-call plumbers, heat & AC techs, and handyman service ready to help too! The neighborhood is rural, quiet, yet close to shopping, dining, recreation areas, highway 49 & 50. The Foothill House is on an acre. Surrounding single family homes are on 1-5 acre parcels. There is parking for up to four vehicles. The only public transportation to the house is taxi or Uber service. -No Smoking in Cottage or anywhere on premises -No Pets or animals allowed in Cottage or anywhere on premises. The Acorn is an allergen free space, which includes the presence of animals. -No scents – incense, candles, air fresheners, perfumes, or smoke. -No loud music. -No parties -Two cars parking maximum. Please park off faux lawn. -No overnight visitors. All guests must be included on reservation with Airbnb. -No potted plants allowed. -No Storage available inside or outside. -Quiet hours 9pm-7am.
