A cosy, stone built, terrace cottage in the heart of Timsbury. This cottage is a perfect hideaway for 2. It has a has a newly fitted kitchen and bathroom with contemporary decor throughout. Right in the centre of the village you can enjoy a quiet lane which is only minutes away from a cafe serving breakfast and lunch. A tiny chip shop next door to the cafe can provide your dinner! There are plenty of country walks on your doorstep and the world heritage City of Bath is only 6 miles away. 11A Rectory Lane is fresh and stylish. Downstairs there is a modern kitchen, breakfast bar and comfy lounge area. Gas central heating makes the cottage warm and cosy. Upstairs the bedroom has a double bed and a chair for reading. The bathroom is fresh and modern with an electric shower over the bath. We live just up the road so can pop down and see you if you need us, or just want to chat about the local area. Access is via a key box so the level of our involvement is entirely up to you! If Rectory Lane isn't available for your chosen dates then please check out our other cottage just 5 minutes away in Paulton (Character cottage) Rectory Lane is right in the centre of the village. At the end of the lane is a quiet Miners memorial garden where you can sit to read, enjoy your coffee or say hello to passers by. The pharmacy, cafe and chip shop are less then a minutes walk at the end of the lane. You can't park on the lane but there are plenty of roads to park on, just moments away and you can drive to your door to pick up and drop off bags. Timsbury is a great starting point for numerous walks and there are books and leaflets at the cottage to get you going. Bath is a short drive away and we can help you out with lots of suggestions of places to visit and where to eat both in Bath and the villages. Good pubs for food can be found in Priston,and Tunley. The Pig (nationally renowned) is just a 10 mins away. 5 minutes walk away is a small co-op. When you're exploring the village everything is walkable. There are buses to Bath but the rural timetable is limited so we suggest that you drive to the park and ride which is 10 minutes away. If you are coming to enjoy country walks then you will be able to leave your car parked from the beginning to the end of your trip! There are plenty of other trips to enjoy, Frome, Wells, National Trust Properties and Cheddar Gorge. This cottage is not suitable for quarantine if arriving from the U.K. from overseas.
