Beautiful converted barn and exclusive use of pool

Les Hirondelles is a gorgeous converted 18th century barn, set in our gated courtyard with the owners' property 40 metres away. It's a perfect place to come and relax. Les Hirondelles has 2 en-suite bedrooms so is ideal for family and friends to stay. It has a private patio area and garden area, with BBQ & furniture and its own designated undercover parking space. An above ground swimming pool, walled and gated. We are in a pretty riverside village within easy reach of the coast. Enter through our blue gates and ahead of you you will see, our stunning converted barn, Les Hirondelles, with its soft green painted windows and doors waiting to welcome you. Les Hirondelles sleeps 2 adults and up to 2 children, plus a baby if required, or 4 adults, and is a perfect place to relax and unwind, with a rustic, cosy feel and lots of character. To the side, and secluded, you have your own garden area, with table, chairs, sunbeds, barbecue and parasol. From the bedroom windows you have a view over the orchard and potager. Les Hirondelles also has its own designated undercover parking space, and access to the swimming pool and grounds, as well as a games room with toys and games to keep everyone amused. Les Hirondelles is on two floors, and as you enter you will see the open plan kitchen, dining and living area. The kitchen has everything you will need with a gas oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment and microwave, as well as toaster, kettle and coffee machine. There is a plentiful supply of utensils and crockery. The dining area has a large pine table and chairs to comfortably seat 4 people, and a comfy sofa so plenty of room for everyone to spread out. There is also the original manger which is a lovely feature. The living area has a woodburner for the cooler months, a sofa and two armchairs and you can relax and watch the "Smart" TV with UK or French channels or curl up with a book or watch a DVD from our collection. Climbing up a stylish wooden staircase, you will the two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double wrought iron bed with quality bedlinen, wardrobe, bedside tables and lamps and a chest of drawers. There is also a full length mirror, hairdryer and ceiling fan. The en-suite shower room is tastefully decorated and has a large modern massage jet shower with rainfall shower head, toilet and basin. We provide quality handwash, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner so you don't need to bring your own if you don't want to. The twin room has two single wrought iron beds which can be made up with appropriate children's bedding if appropriate, a bedside table, a chest of drawers and curtained hanging space for clothes. Baby equipment is available on request, including cot and high chair. A welcome basket with tea, coffee and essentials will be waiting for you on arrival. The swimming pool and games room provide entertainment and fun for the whole family. Guests will have their own private garden area and will be able to access the swimming pool and games room, as well as a separate laundry room which houses the gite's own washing machine. Parts of the owners' gardens can also be accessed. Although we are on site, we are discreet but are available to help you if you need any information about local amenities. Being on site means that we are able to welcome you personally and show you round your accommodation and, if necessary, promptly deal with any issues that may occur Paizay le Tort is a pretty, rural, riverside village and only a few kilometres from Melle, a romanesque market town with all the amenities you need, including 4 supermarkets, banks, bars and restaurants and its Friday market. Other local villages and towns offer similar and the larger towns and cities offer various attractions, including Futuroscope and the Atlantic coastal towns and villages. As we are set in the countryside, our roads are quiet and ideal for walking or cycling. There are a number of interesting circuits to try. A short walk from the gites, you will find a tennis court, an obstacle course, petanque piste and a basketball court, as well as a play park for young children. All are free to use. We live in rural France and part of the attraction of staying at Les Hirondelles is for peace and tranquility. We do, however, live in a valley so noise travels, so we respectfully ask that guests are considerate to our neighbours and restrict outside noise after 11.00pm. It should also be noted that at certain times of the year there could be some farming activity going on, ie harvest time, and of course, being in the countryside, there will be some wildlife around.
