Grab yourself a glass of wine, hot chocolate or relaxing cup of tea and take a seat on our rocking chairs or redgum love seat while the sun sets over the valley views for another day. ANIMALS and PETS: Upon request and permission obtained by hosts. We love holidaying with our dogs, and don't like having to book low or average quality accommodation to be able to bring them with us. So we have made our cottage pet friendly, and made it the kind of place that we would like to stay with our pets. Pet rules: > Booking to reflect as per 'extra person' charge/ per pet. > We are very vigilant in removing all animal hair from the cottage after pet owning guest stays, but we also ask that you please be aware of where your pet is shedding if you have a particularly hairy pet, and try to help us out with this. > We ask that guests bring their own pet beds and allow pets to stay only in non-carpeted areas of the cottage. > Please do not leave your pet unattended in the house or on the property. > There are neighboring animals and livestock nearby, so we ask that unruly dogs are kept at home who might give chase or tend to bark (as this might echo through the surrounding valleys and to our neighbours). > Guests are welcome to access all areas of the property except the studio shed and garden space behind the shed. We are both small business owners with one business run from home. We reside in the adjoining however you will have privacy to your own dwelling which is completely enclosed with its own separate fence, driveway and gardens. We respect if our guests may prefer space, privacy or minimal interaction with us as your hosts during your stay however we will not be far away should you need assistance with anything pressing or urgent. Maude is the perfect township to visit for a rural retreat. Far enough to get away from the hustle and bustle of the concrete jungles and in touch with nature yet close enough to access from the metropol of Geelong and Melbourne CBD's. Activities guests may enjoy in the area include wine tasting and local vineyard cellar door explorations, the Maude Tennis Courts and clubrooms (where bookings can be made to use the courts or hire the hall), the Maude Recreational Reserve which includes BBQ facilities, a public fire pit, childrens playground, a bocce court, public toilets + a viewing platform, a drive to Fairy Park, Historical Steiglitz, Brisbane Ranges for a bushwalk or bike ride or Bunjil's Lookout just down the road which is a viewing platform playing host to a spectacular view from sunrise to sunset overlooking the sweeping plains of the Moorabool Valley (a great spot to watch some majestic wedgetail eagles gliding through the thermal winds of the valley!) > There is limited public transport available in Maude. Visitors should have own means of transportation during their stay. > Driving service available at an additional charge (up to 6 travellers). 48 hours notice required. Upon request only. Please just ask us! :) > Secure on-site parking available on the property with multiple car spaces.
