BAB´House - Apartment in the Heart of Douro

The House We invite you to our restored apartment, which was converted from the cattle shed located in the lower floor of a 3-store rustic village house. The apartment is located in Nagoselo do Douro Village, at the heart of the demarcated wine region of Douro, where you can enjoy a full countryside experience in a historic rural village with a unique view over the unforgettable Douro landscape, a river beach for refreshing swims and beautiful hiking routes through the vineyards. The apartment has a living room - where you can relax and enjoy the TV, a Bluetooth stereo and wifi - with a dining area. One of the sofas in the living room can be converted in a double bed sofa. There is a fully equipped kitchen so you can prepare and experience the traditional portuguese flavours. There is the main bedroom in a mezzanine with a queen sized bed and TV. Near the living area you will find one complete bathroom and a second one with two showers under the mezzanine. In the outskirts of our apartment you will find my aunt Isabel small market with all the local products and anything you might need. The baker does a daily run through the streets of Nagoselo (one of the stops is just in from of our house). In the near villages of São João da Pesqueira and Espinho do Douro you will find very nice restaurants with traditional food, a great pizzeria which we recommend anyone to try. You might also visit just 20 to 40 km distance the cultural and picturesque villages of Régua, Pinhão, Foz Coa, Vila Flor e Carrazeda de Ansiães. The city of Oporto, which is now considered to be one of the most beautiful and cultural cities in the world, is around 150km (2h driving distance), where the closest airport is.
