The house is part of a burg from the 17th century, which has been fully renovated, attempting to maintain the typical features of rural architecture, while still providing all modern comforts and conveniences and it's situated in the Natural and Paleontological Reserve "Valleandona and Valle Botto", a green paradise right on Asti’s doorstep, which is full of marine fossils as proof that Po plain, five million years ago, was in fact, a sea. A good idea is to take a walk with a young tourist guide of La Pervinca which co-operate for Valleandona. Breakfast will be suitable for all customers including any special requests and they are welcome to use Wi-fi and the big living-room where the fireplace and TV are situated or as an alternative they can go outside in the garden or under the porch while to sociailise with some members of the family. Rooms are nice and well furnished, they all have TV set and rooms have bathroom and balcony in front of the swimming pool in the garden and offer panoramic views on the surrounding valley. If you're a wine and good food lover, this is the place you should visit. At your disposal you will have the husband Antonio, who will point you all the best cellars and restaurants of this area because he knows many wine-producers' association, he's an alpine man and expert hunter and so he will give you all useful information about the best Piedmont restaurants, the recommended tourist itineraries, the fairs of typical products and all the area's traditional events. By the way, the best time to visit Asti is from the beginning of September to the end of November, when there is one food and wine event after another and you will be able to taste wines and some wonderful dishes with truffles and mushrooms. On the third Sunday of September, remember there's the Palio di Asti , the traditional horse race, when the town turns out in Medieval costumes for the annual procession. In addition to the Palio, in the town of Asti there are theDouja d'Or and the Festival delle Sagre. The d’Ouja d’Or is a market fair on precious wines with the competitions, wine tasting and conferences and events involving wine and food. It takes place in the most prestigious historic buildings in the town centre and the objective is to inform people about the best wines to be found in Italy. The Festival delle Sagre Astigiane, (The Asti Popular Festival) takes place on the second weekend in September and pays homage to the life of the peasants of the past. There is an extraordinary parade with 3000 figurants who act out scenes of the typical life of the peasants, their jobs and their rites.
