Scenic Villa apartment in Cetara

The apartment is on the middle floor of a three-stores Villa at a scenic spot facing the old village tower. The Villa has been owned by the same family for more than 50 years. Please plan your arrival on the week-end, if possible (during working days check-in guaranteed only after 4 p.m.). Less than one week stay are granted only for arrivals from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening. Please expect some delay in confirming short stays. The apartment occupies the entire middle floor of a three stores Villa sitting in front of the old Tower just across the street in Cetara. Repainted in April 2020, it is a fully furnished two-bedrooms apartment (one twin beds and one double equipped with new mattresses from beginning of 2018) with kitchen, bathroom (with all comfort), and a large dining room (over 30m2). A scenic balcony, facing the blue sea, runs along the whole south facade of the Villa. The balcony can be accessed both from the large dining room and the double-bed room. From the kitchen it is possible to gain access to a small private terrace in full shadow. The balcony allows to have a 180° view on the mountains behind Salerno (at East) and the whole gulf. At the West end of the view the Erchie tower closes the sea scenario while the mountain behind Cetara (Monte dell'Avvocata) can be also viewed. The kitchen is equipped with methane fireplace and laundry. The house hosts up to 4 adults and is suited for families. The outside garden is in common with the other Villa's apartments all owned by one family. Last minute SPECIALS available later than three weeks before the requested check-in date. The town of Cetara has a public free wi-fi covering the area around the "Marina" (sea shore), the harbour, Corso Garibialdi (the main street running from the Marina up-hill), P.za Roma (where the main bus stop is located) and the town hall. Cetara is one of the best preserved village on the Amalfi coast. Outside the peak season you can really feel the fishing village atmosphere. A number of very nice restaurant (give a look on tripadvisor if you like) give you the unique opportunity of tasting traditional fish-dishes. Cetara is also very well known as a Windsurfing village. The village is the home harbour of the largest Mediterranean fleet for tuna phishing. In summer is possible to take part into the tuna fish feast. On June 29th the Saint Peter feast makes Cetara a joyful and colourful village and a world famous fireworks show closes the day (the Villa is one of the best spot for viewing this show). Cetara is 5km away from Vietri sul Mare a world known village for his ceramic art. You can reach Cetara by bus (Autolinee SITA direct line from Naples and Salerno) or train+bus (high speed train stops in Napoli or Salerno, a few regional trains leaving Napoli stops in Vietri sul Mare). The closest airport is Napoli Capodichino with several international flights. Napoli is 50 km away by car. Salerno is less than 10 km away and is worth a visit. Amalfi is 20 km away with several (SITA) buses per day going back and forth. In summer Amalfi, Salerno and the other villages on the coast can be also reached by small ferry-boats. Pompei with its archaeological site is less than 25km away. The Villa garden is in common with the other guests. It is at your disposal upon respect of elementary education rules. The roof terrace is, mainly, used by the owners. Out of season it is possible to find free parking places close to the Villa. In the summer months this possibility is strongly reduced and typically concentrated early in the morning and late in the afternoon. You will be welcome at Villa Bice by one of the owner. Please, timely provide your travel schedule to help us to organize it. One of us will be also available on the phone any time during your stay (please provide a reliable mobile number you will use during your stay). A private cub service can be booked through the owners to and from Salerno and/or Napoli (airport included) Upon request is possible to provide a baby chair and a baby travel bed (up to 15 kg).
