Our old cosy Welsh miners cottage provides an environmentally friendly living space with views of the mountains from the front door. It's an ideal place for those looking to explore The beauty of Snowdonia. We offer the whole house for you to stay in. Our house is in the centre of Llanberis on a quiet back street, less than five minutes walk from The Heights bar, Spar and Pete's Eats and 15 minutes from the bottom of the Llanberis path route up Snowdon The space is made for very relaxed living - perfect for coming back to after a day out adventuring. Whatever that may be, our house gives you a clean, warm, dry and relaxed place to return to. Karen & Mal currently live in Liverpool but for many years have spent a lot of of their leisure time in Snowdonia. So can recommend lots of things to do based on interests you have. We both love hill and coastal walking and Mal loves running in the hills , taking part in Ultra races and climbing. We can suggest all sorts from good walks, top trails, climbing spots, road ride routes and much more before you arrive. Both double rooms are equipped with a pocket sprung medium firm mattress and cotton sheets. The duvet and pillows are feather. The rooms are cosy and warm. There is a travel cot and a hygenic matress with a small amount of baby /toddler bedding. There is one bathroom shared by both bedrooms which has a big double bath with a hansgrohe mixer shower over it. A stone basin and shaver plug sockets top off the bathroom and a heated towel rail. The living room has a wood burning stove for use in the winter, surround sound and a Smart, curved screen TV & Amazon fire stick, with Alexa voice control. There is the option of using the Apple TV, if you have an Apple TV account and and Chromecast if you download the app The house has unlimited fibre optic broadband. The kitchen is well kitted out benefiting from good quality cook wear, a big 6 ring gas/electric oven, fridge space, dishwasher and much more. Although we won't be at the house, we will always be available on the phone or via text for any questions you may have! A few days before you arrive we will send you our check information. You will find an 'information folder' in the cottage with all of the information that you should need, including tips on using the fireplace. This is a unique location for anyone wanting to venture into the mountains to understand the true wonders of North Wales and Snowdonia. There is space for 1 car (Mondeo size, much bigger and it is a struggle, (max - transit van SWB)). There is also on street parking , usually a couple of options within a minutes walk from the door. A bus stop in town will get you up to Pen-y-Pass and beyond for exploring the National Park or taking a romp up Snowdon. There are also buses in town to get you to Bangor and Caernarfon. Your pets are more than welcome. However we ask that you keep them downstairs and that you keep them off the soft furnishings, if possible. If this isn't possible, we ask that you use the throws provided.
