We are surrounded by the best restaurants and pubs Galway has to offer, in the oldest and hippest part of our beautiful city. Downstairs is our pub "Massimo" serving great drinks, cocktails and coffee. The bar serves late at the weekend. NB: Music finishes 2:30am Thur Sat. Sun Wed 11:30 "Over Massimo" is a 5 minute stroll to the city centre. Our bar downstairs Massimo serves a mean pint and has a top class Gin and Whiskey selections, as well as cocktails to die for. We show all the big sports matches on our big screens. Free wifi in the rooms, a laundrette 100 yards away. Our staff in the bar below are more than happy to give guests any information, directions or advice they require and we are usally around most days and plenty of nights too! Galways West End or "The West" as it's known locally is the part of Galway that visitors to the city tend to find towards the end of their trip and wish they'd found it earlier. The vast majority of businesses here are owner occupied family businesses and there's a real sense of community amongst the traders in our little part of Irelands best city. We have an ever growing number of award winning restaurants down the West and no visit to the West End is complete without a visit to Ernies Greengrocer and a chat with Ernie himself! Galways West End was nominated for Irelands Top foodie destination in 2017 and amongst the hidden gems in the area is the Blue Teapot Theatre Company which is Irelands first intellectual disability theatre company. We are also home to The Roisin Dubh, an award winning music and comedy venue which hosts all the best upmand coming bands from Ireland and beyond (Ed Sheeran palyed his first gig in Galway there!). One of the top traditional pubs in the city The Crane Bar is around the corner and we have coffee shops, bookshops, yoga rooms, an apothecary and a tattoo parlour within a stones throw....... Everything in the city is a short stroll and the Salthill promenade is a 15 minute walk. 10 minutes walk gets you to the bus and train station and there's a cab office 3 doors down as well as a bike hire shop round the corner. Please remember that you are staying in the centre of the livielest city in Ireland. Galwegians and our visitors don't go to bed very early very often! Galway is famed for it's entertainment, particularly it's traditional music. The city plays host to guests of all ages and while peak tourist season is June-September, there's almost always something happening in town. The West End, where we're located, is a lovely quirky old part of town, that tends to be busier in the evening than during the day. While our accomodation is located over our pub, Sunday-Wednesday is pretty quiet and we're not open late (11.30 closing time). Thursday-Saturday we're open til 2.30 and we have DJ's playing. It's not loud loud upstairs but there is some noise spillage. We provide ear-plugs for those who want to go to bed early!
