You can cook for yourself in the well-appointed kitchen, be picked-up and dropped off for free by one of Senggigi’s best restaurants, or simply order in. Taxi rides to the main tourist hub Senggigi are cheap and easy to arrange; Bluebird taxis use meters also during night times. Kerandangan beach with its amazing sunset views over to Bali is a 30 minutes’ walk away along the village road. Meet the friendly villagers, a mix of Hindu and Muslim families. ‘Villa Astrid’ is a modern two bed-roomed villa with floor-to-ceiling windows opening onto the swimming pool. Two air-conditioned bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms are fitted with queen sized beds and mosquito nets. The living area includes a well-appointed kitchen corner and has satellite flat screen TV and a DVD player. One bedroom leads off from the living room, the second bedroom has its separate entrance from the terrace and has its own DVD player with flat screen monitor. A mobile phone with local number making it easy for you to make local arrangements, e.g. ordering food or taxis – these are inexpensive and use meters. WiFi is free of charge. The villa manager makes breakfast, helps cleaning the house and can be contacted for requests you might have (ordering taxis, delivery service from a restaurant etc.). Our maid and gardener will come to visit every day to clean the house, make up the beds, and maintain pool and garden. Night security is also available.
