Waiotahi Valley Hideaway.... private and tranquil.
Our Waiotahi Hideaway is nestled in a bushy valley only a 7- minute walk to town. The only sounds to be heard are the singing of the birds (mostly native), the buzzing of the bees, chirping of cicadas and crickets, and the babbling of the nearby creek. The listing is for a beautiful main bedroom with en-suite, opening onto a sunny patio, ideal for BBQ’s and dining, and relaxing. The room is attached to, though blocked off, from the main house. The space is airy and light, with views of the bush whichever way you look. It's tranquil and calm, yet so close to town. All areas including kitchen, lounge and bathroom, decks, courtyard and all outdoor areas are accessible. A second queen bedroom is available where a reservation is for 3 or 4 guests. In this case the charge is $40 per head for the extra guests. We often come and go but are always available via phone to answer questions. On weekends, we will be either in the house, or in our yurt which is also on the property. Let us know if you'd like to chat or would prefer privacy. Our hideaway is close to the famous Kauaeranga Valley with breathtaking walking tracks through the Coromandel Forest. Our own beautiful Waiotahi walking track is a 10 minute walk from our gate. We have two bicycles available for riding to town and for riding the famous Hauraki rail trail. The enchanting Coromandel, with its fabulous beaches, diving and fishing opportunities is at your doorstep. Remember to keep well left when driving the Coromandel roads. We are also only an hour and a half drive to Auckland and Tauranga and less than two hours to the tip of the peninsular. Driveway. When coming up the drive, turn left at the top toward the house. Please take care when backing into the right-hand area at the top of the driveway as there is a steep drop off. There is enough room though, for one car to park in there to allow another car to get in and out.
