A cosy, grade II listed cottage, nestled in a quiet corner of a beautiful conservation area, with stunning views.Whether visiting during the summer or winter, you will not be disappointed.This beautiful house was our first home for five lovely years. A tranquil setting, with far-reaching views to enjoy those lazy summer evenings, dining al fresco.Or light the fire and cwtch up under a blanket with your favourite book or film during the winter. A special place that is good for the soul. Sleeping up to 5, the property has two double bedrooms and one single, all offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The living room boasts an inglenook fireplace with working wood burning stove; perfect to snuggle up in front of with a glass of wine on a chilly evening. The spacious kitchen has a seating area with double doors leading out onto the patio and decking. The bathroom is located downstairs with a large L-shaped bath and shower over. The property has a front and back garden, overlooking the valley (great for sunsets) with ideal rear access via a lane- perfect for keen mountain bikers. There is a shed at the bottom of the garden which can be used to store bikes, prams, etc. Cwmcarn is less than half hour's drive from the Prince of Wales bridge and just 10 mins from J28 of the M4. The property is within walking distance of local pubs, village shop, cafe and fish and chip shop. On street parking is available. The rear lane takes you straight on to the Cwmcarn Forest which has a lake, park, cafe, scenic drive (open to cars from 21st June - a must see!) and the red graded 'Cafall' and legendary 'Twrch' trail. Walking routes ranging from under a mile to 9 miles can take you to the top of Twmbarlwm with 360 degree views for miles. Contact us anytime with any issues re the property Garden Suburbs is a quiet, tree lined, perfectly situated street in a conservation area. The chocolate box style houses are grade II listed and were built for the officials of the local Collieries. Pontywaun is a small, friendly village, with train station, few pubs, canal and park. Walk to numerous pretty locations, like the Cwmcarn Forest, canal, play parks. Buses available on the main road. Train station is a 10 minute walk from the property which will take to either into Cardiff city centre or up the valleys towards Ebbw Vale. The property is located on a quiet residential street, so we kindly ask you to respect the neighbours. Additionally, if mountain biking, please could you use the rear access to the property when leaving and returning on bikes. Many thanks. Bin collection day Thursday. There is a general waste and recycling bin. When leaving the property we kindly ask that you put all used towels in the bath and all bedding in the bags provided under the sink.
