The property has a front and back garden, overlooking the valley (great for sunsets) with ideal rear access via a lane- perfect for keen mountain bikers. There is a shed at the bottom of the garden which can be used to store bikes, prams, etc. Cwmcarn is less than half hour's drive from the Prince of Wales bridge and just 10 mins from J28 of the M4. The property is within walking distance of local pubs, village shop, cafe and fish and chip shop. On street parking is available. The rear lane takes you straight on to the Cwmcarn Forest which has a lake, park, cafe, scenic drive (open to cars from 21st June - a must see!) and the red graded 'Cafall' and legendary 'Twrch' trail. Walking routes ranging from under a mile to 9 miles can take you to the top of Twmbarlwm with 360 degree views for miles. The chocolate box style houses are grade II listed and were built for the officials of the local Collieries. Pontywaun is a small, friendly village, with train station, few pubs, canal and park. Walk to numerous pretty locations, like the Cwmcarn Forest, canal, play parks. Buses available on the main road. Train station is a 10 minute walk from the property which will take to either into Cardiff city centre or up the valleys towards Ebbw Vale. The property is located on a quiet residential street, so we kindly ask you to respect the neighbours.
