Casa da Lomba – Where the sea meets the mountain Lomba dos Pós is on the beautiful island of São Miguel, Azores in the historic county of Povoação, where the settler´s first set foot. Our fully furnished home basks on the mountainside in the quaint picturesque countryside where nature´s soundtrack is clear. It´s ideal for sightseeing , touring, hiking or exploring the area and the island with its rich history steeped in traditions. You can enjoy the fofas from Povoação, at the local café, a refreshing dip in the ocean or in the seaside pools. Visit the local shops before heading off to explore more of the beautiful Ilha Verde. It´s only 10 minutes away from the village of Furnas, the capital of Tourism, home of the geothermal springs Poça da Dona Beija or the beautiful Terra Nostra Garden. You can also savour the volcanic steamed stew; cozido á portuguesa. The fishing village of Ribeira Quente offers an ideal setting to enjoy a swim, a glass of wine, locally brewed beer and a fresh seafood plate smothered in tradition and loaded with culture. Wherever your path leads you while discovering our beautiful island, Casa da Lomba´s vast ocean view, breath taking sunsets and a storybook pastures will be waiting for you. Fica situada a apenas 10 minutos das Furnas, capital do turismo em São Miguel, devido à oferta das águas termais e do cozido confecionado no vapor vulcânico; da melhor praia de São Miguel, a praia da Ribeira Quente. Fazer os trilhos: Sanguinho, Pico dos Bodes, Vista da Baleia Faial da Terra, Agrião, ou uma caminhada pelo caminho rural dos arrastadouros.
