Diamond Notch - Le Spot
Huge private yard surrounded by Mountain Views and the sound of the stream in ravine off the back! My 900 sq ft cabin was built in the 1960s by an artist it and renovated with recycled & repurposed materials. (We are told it may also have been a witness protection house!) Minutes from Phoenicia, Hunter and Tannersville but within the Catskills preserve so you feel private with nature but never isolated. WE TAKE COVID PROTOCOLS SERIOUSLY & HIRE CLEANERS WHO FOLLOW ALL CDC CLEANING GUIDELINES Our 900 square foot cottage sits on beautiful, private, flat yard surrounded by mountains with a "ravine" off the back where a Hollow Tree Brook passes. We've been told it was once a witness protection house (!?!) that was then owned by French skiers who aptly dubbed it 'Le Spot.' Now newly renovated with brand new appliances along with recycled and re-purposed building materials, it is unique, green and cozy cottage. The property is perfectly situated, secluded and private but close to necessities and fun. We particularly love cooking in our eat in kitchen, watching birds through the big sliding glass doors on snowy days and spending all summer in our yard listening to the stream or swimming in a near by lake or swim hole. There are two bedrooms - one with a king size bed and one with a queen size bed. There is also a full size pull out sofa in the living room and multiple air mattresses for additional guests. The whole house and property are at your disposal exclusively. We will forward you instructions upon booking. We will send you all the information you will need. We love this area. So much is within reach. You are minutes from Skiing (HUNTER, WINDHAM OR BELLYAYRE!), Hiking, Tubing, Gourmet food, Swimming at Colgate Lake, Trails, Canoeing, Yoga, Massage, Farm Stands, Historic Sites and more, even mini-golf. Hunter Mountain: 9 minutes away Tannersville: 8 minutes away Phoenicia: 6 minutes away Katerskills Falls: 15 minutes away. Peace, quiet and beauty: 0 minutes away. There is also a great trail up Diamond Notch at the end of our street Best thing is to have a car, however if you want to take the bus up from Port Authority in Manhattan there is one bus a day that stops at the end of the street. It is a 3 minute walk from there. The other daily buses stop in Phoenicia where we can arrange to have you picked up there. You can stock up on groceries or (with advanced notice) you can get your meals from the amazing organic caterer at the bottom of the street. To get around, you can hike, bike, skip, do somersaults but the fastest way is to drive. A lot of stars
