Self contained - Secluded, Classic Shepherds Hut

Get away from it all in a self-contained traditional shepherd hut in an idyllic location, nestled in a wild flower meadow. Wake to the dawn chorus, walk through the woods to explore the open countryside or local artisan shops and inns, return to your own private spring fed wood-fired hot tub and fall asleep to the sounds of wind rustling the trees with the only tweets coming from the owls. Perfect location to recharge. The hut is tucked away in a private meadow at the back of our property behind a quiet cul-de-sac. A path to a gate provides direct access into open countryside including a valley, woodland and trim trail perfect for exercising, walking and cycling. The Hut has all the creature comforts of home including a wood burning stove, kitchen basics for those hearty cooked breakfasts and your own private luxury bathroom a short walk away. The hot tub package is a very popular add-on. We empty, disinfect, fill it with fresh Cotswold spring water, light the wood burner and bring it up to temperature ready for you to indulge under the stars, safe in the knowledge it is freshly made just for you. If you need it for more than one night then you can purchase more logs and keep it going for as long as you want. We are four stops and 70 minutes from London Paddington but a million miles from the city! We will arrange transfer from the station in our electric car or we can drop electric bicycles off for you (10min drive / 30min ride) - just request this when you book. If you are driving here then we have plenty of secure off street parking and an EV charging point. A gated pathway leads you through the house gardens into the paddock where you will find the Hut and separate private bathroom and the hot tub. Access to a local valley and woodland walks is through the gate at the bottom of the paddock. We offer peaceful surroundings whilst being close enough to walk to numerous restaurants, cafes and pubs with plenty of interesting shops to browse. Westonbirt Arboretum, Prince Charles’ Highgrove Gardens (need to book in advance) and Chavenage House are just some of the special places to visit during your stay. Close by are the market towns of Nailsworth, Stroud and Cirencester. Chedworth Villa with Roman mosaics and Bibury. Where possible we would love to be able to welcome you when you arrive, however a lock box is in place to enable you to gain access to your accommodation at your convenience. We have worked hard to make your stay as easy as possible and believe you will be able to enjoy your time with us in peace, should you need to speak to us you have only to call. We are tucked away in a quiet spot at the back of a new small cul-de-sac. We over-look rolling countryside and woodland on the edge of Tetbury a beautiful and traditional Cotswold Market Town with wonderful places to eat and plenty to see and do. Westonbirt Arboretum is a short drive or steady bike ride away and well worth a visit at any time of year. Breakfast at the Whistle Stop Cafe (a 10 minute stroll) is the perfect way to start the day. With everything you need within walking distance, we are also perfectly situated for exploring by Bike with an abundance of quiet roads to discover the local area. Numerous beautiful Cotswold towns, villages and pubs are on your doorstep. There is a limited bus service and a train station at nearby Kemble (only 70mins and three stops from London Paddington). You have maps and information on local bike and walking routes as well as places to visit to help make the most of your stay. When booking please tell us which night you would like the hot tub prepared and we will ensure it is ready for you the tub experience is £95 payable direct. If you want to keep the hot-tub up to temperature for subsequent nights then we charge £45 each night to cover the cost of the additional wood.
