The town is surrounded by beautiful, wild beaches and serene coastal walks, and on either side, it is only a few minutes’ drive to the world famous Twelve Apostles and Port Campbell National Park. There is a view of the Port Campbell headland from the front balcony if you don’t feel like venturing far, and on quiet nights you can hear the waves from the house when tucked up in bed or relaxing by the fire. Whether its whalewatching or just chilling on the balcony, rest assured the Albatross is a great base for your next holiday in one of Australia’s favourite tourist destinations. The Albatross is a generously proportioned 4-bedroom/2-bathroom double storey timber beach house in the heart of Port Campbell. Built in the 80s, the house has a distinctive presence with its blue veranda poles. Once called ‘Pine View’ it was renamed ‘The Albatross’ in 2016, and has recently been refreshed and improved with a partial renovation including a new coat of paint, new flooring, window coverings, and other fittings. The fully equipped, German-designed kitchen was upgraded in the mid-2000s. At one time the house was owned by Audrey Schulz, the daughter of Herman Schulz who began Schulz's organic dairy in the 1970s. One of the first organic dairies in Australia, Schulz’s dairy is behind Timboon Cheesery, part of the delicious Southwest gourmet food trail.
