For your afternoon siestas, find your spot on one of the hammocks hanging in the restored stone cascina just facing the main house, and feel the breeze cool you down during the warmest hours of the day. At dinner time, seat yourselves around the 10-seater marble table on the patio just steps away from the spacious kitchen to enjoy that much-deserved meal as another long summer’s day comes to an end. The ground floor of the house is comprised of an entrance room, a cosy living area, and a spacious, fully equipped kitchen and pantry. From the moment you enter the front door on one end of the house, the carefully-designed arched openings that span all three rooms provide you with a breath-taking view of the surrounding countryside from the kitchen window on the other end. The kitchen has a wood-burning oven to make your own bread or pizza. A bathroom equipped with a washing machine is also found on the ground floor, as is a small study with an extra single sofa bed. Making your way up to the first floor, you will find to the left a guest room and to the right the master bedroom. The large en-suite bathroom of the master bedroom has a jacuzzi bathtub so originally designed that it will make you feel as if you are – almost literally – floating on cloud 9. Further across and you enter another study whose large arched windows offer arguably the most stunning views in the entire house. The second-floor attic is divided into two sections, accessed from two separate sets of stairs. On the left side, there are two double bedrooms with a shared bathroom, while to the right you’ll find a cosy, familial multimedia room with a projector and generous selection of DVDs to choose from.
