Self-catering farm cottage
Giles and Aimee are listing this lovely cosy farm cottage on behalf of Aimee's parents Richard and Margaret. The cottage is listed here as a 1-bedroom self-catering property, but an extra twin room is available on request for an additional charge. Situated in the quiet rural hamlet of Cameley in North Somerset, Lower Farm Holiday Cottage is the perfect base for a relaxing stay in the countryside whilst being close to the amenities and attractions of Bristol, Bath and Wells. The cottage dates back to around 1750, when it was originally one of a row of three farm workers cottages on the Hippisley Estate. Today it has been recently renovated, and is a self-contained annex at Lower Farm. This self catering holiday cottage offers a perfect base for exploring the heritage of the west country. It has been finished and furnished to a high specification complete with en-suite bathroom, featuring a walk-in shower. Outside, our guests have the use of a private gated driveway and a spacious patio area, with garden furniture to relax and unwind. The property is located along a quiet country lane surrounded by small streams and fields. * Kingsize bedroom with countryside views * Luxury bathroom with walk-in shower * Large lounge-dining area with cosy under-floor heating * Dining table and chairs for four people * Private entrance and patio area * Private driveway offering off street parking * LCD TV (Freeview) * Large built in wardrobes with plenty of space for luggage * Fully equiped self-catering kitchen with oven, hob, kettle, microwave, fridge-freezer, toaster and selection of pans and utensils * Washing machine, ironing board and clothes airer. * Sorry, no pets. * No smoking inside the property. Second twin bedroom also available for an additional charge of £75 per night - please ask us about availability in your enquiry (maximum occupancy of the cottage is 4 people). We can also provide stables on our farm if you'd like to bring your horse on holiday with you! There are several good riding routes from the property. Please enquire for charges. Richard and Margaret look forward to welcoming you to their holiday cottage and will be pleased to help you settle in and answer any queries you have. The entrance to the cottage is entirely separate to the main farmhouse and so you'll have plenty of privacy while you're staying with us. In the immediate vicinity you'll find Cameley Lodge restaurant, wedding venue and fishing lodge - we highly recommend their Sunday lunch! A short walk up the hill to the village of Hinton Blewitt is the cosy Ring o' Bells pub with real ales and a good menu for food. We're 1.3 miles along a country road (without a pavement) from the nearest bus stop (from which you can get to Bristol and Wells) but we recommend you travel by car.
