Welcome to Stringybark Cottage, a beautiful log cabin set in award winning gardens in the peaceful forests of the Noosa hinterland. This is the ideal escape for those wishing to rest and relax with the convenience of Noosa 20-25 minutes away and the quaint market town of Eumundi 8 mins You may have seen us on TV Gardening Australia and in various books and magazines. Come and relax! Stringybark cottage is a log cabin made from the tall timbers milled on the property. The cabin is sustainably designed so it is very cool and relaxing in summer and easily warmed up in winter by a cosy log fire. It has a big bedroom with a queen bed and glass windows looking out to the garden and bush. The bed linen is crisp organic cotton and breathable organic wool doonas to keep you comfortable whatever the temperature. There is a lounge room (with hidden tv and dvd system), dining room and a self contained kitchen. The verandah has a lovely garden setting in which to sit and soak up this stunning garden. The cottage is self-contained and is about 10 metres from the main house. Guests have access to everything except the main house. We encourage our guests to spend as much time in the garden as you like! You are welcome enjoy a dip and relax around the swimming pool. Guests are left to relax by themselves but we are more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Please wander the space as you please. We love Verrierdale so much as it is still close to the beach but one of the least developed areas on the Sunshine Coast. Come here to listen to the birds and the bees and the sway of the trees! Verrierdale is 7 minutes from Eumundi, just off the Bruce Highway which makes it central to all major tourist destinations in the area. Eumundi is a quaint little town and famous for its markets on a Wednesday and Saturday. The area has rolling hills and valleys and is dense with native bush. There are numerous national parks around and it is about a 15-30 minute drive depending on which stunning beach you decide to visit- Coolum beach, Perigian beach, Noosa beach, Sunshine beach.. the list goes on.. take your pick! There is no public transport in walk-able distance so it's best guests have their own car. There is internet available but sometimes limited reception in the cottage.
