Linlithgow sits in the middle of the Scottish lowlands within easy reach of both Edinburgh and Glasgow, which makes it an ideal base for a longer visit. The town boasts strong connections to the Stuart Kings of Scotland and was the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots. It is also central to many Outlander locations, some of which are in the Royal Burgh itself.
