Charming, romantic house near Bellagio, Lake Como

Casa Orchidea is a completely renovated 18th century house ideally located in the charming village of Lezzeno, on the western shore of Lake Como, ten minutes from Bellagio. It has stunning views of both the lake and the Alps. Two bedrooms, one bathroom and a kitchen and living room (with couch bed). Outside spaces includes two balconies and one terrace with a BBQ, all with lake view. With only a five minute walk down the steps to the lakeside beach. Casa Orchidea can comfortably sleep 4 people and up to 6 people using the couch bed. The whole house was completely renovated in 2012, using traditional and quality materials and techniques and respecting the environment. You can enjoy the view of the lake from the large balcony connected to the living room or from the terrace downstairs. Thanks to its thick walls, Casa Orchidea is cool in the summer. In the winter, it can be comfortably heated thanks to a new powerful gas heating system. To keep in touch with the rest of the world, there is a TV, a DVD player, an iPod player and free WiFi access. Ground floor - A modern, new, eat-in kitchen with dining table (expandable to seat up to 10 people), dishwasher, washing machine, refrigerator-freezer, 4-burner gas stove, electric oven, coffee maker (traditional and Nespresso) and is well equipped for the cooking enthusiast. - A very bright living-room with fireplace and access to a large balcony for a drink, lunch or just to relax admiring the view of the lake. The sofa converts into a comfortable double bed 1st floor - Master bedroom: with double bed (queen size), door to balcony with view of the lake - Second bedroom (green room): with double bed and charming view on the Strada Regia and the nearby mountains - Modern bathroom with sink, shower and toilet. There is a terrace complete with garden furniture, with stunning lake views and a landscaped side garden. Within two minutes, you descend the stairs from the village and on to the lakefront beach. There is parking for the village of Sormazzana just steps from the front door. The village itself is pedestrian only. The C30 bus travels the lake road from Como to Bellagio. The bus stop is a 5 minute walk from the house. COVID 19: Please note that extra special attention will be paid to disinfecting the house after each stay and there is a 24 hour period between reservations so that the house can be aired and all surfaces/door handles/remote controls and appliances disinfected. Outside the front door, turn right and take the staircase on the left and his house is to the right of the top of the stairs. Casa Orchidea is located in the charming village of Lezzeno on the banks of Lake Como. You are only 10 minutes by car from Bellagio, where you have easy access to the rest of the Lake by ferry boat. From the house, it is a 5 minute walk down steps to a natural beach on the lake, perfect for swimming and enjoying the amazing views. There are stunning views from the house of Lake Como, which can be enjoyed from the downstairs terrace or one of two balconies. Directly outside our front door is a Roman hiking trail that winds it's way around the lake. There is something for everyone in the family with shopping and restaurants in Bellagio which is only 10 minutes by car and Como only 25 minutes away. While we do recommend coming with a car, in order to experience all that the area has to offer, for short stays, it is possible to come via public transportation. The C30 bus travels the lake road from Como to Bellagio. The bus stop is a 10 minute walk from the house. Como to Lezzeno is a 45 minutes journey. You can also travel to the centre of Milan by train from Como San Giovanni station in 35 minutes and the C30 bus leaves from the station. Please note that check in time is after 4pm and check out time is no later than 10am. Please note that for people with reduced mobility, there are 10 steps from the car park up to the village. While the village is pedestrian only and very safe for children, there are steps throughout the village.
