The Apartment is situated over a village pub and has been in my family for over 100 yrs. The space has been lovingly restored exposing some of the craftsmanship used while bringing it gently into the 21st century. The accommodation consists of 1 bedroom, Kitchen, living space and a spacious shower room. A stairs leads to the apt. and on entering, the living area has a TV some board games, 2 sofas one of which is a pull out bed. The bedroom has a queen size bed with memory foam mattress, hangers and drawers. the kitchen has an oven, hob, fridge, coffee machine and a dining area. We will be available throughout your stay to welcome you and answer any queries you may have. Knockbridge is a consistent medal winner in the annual Tidy Towns competition close to Dundalk, Blackrock, Ardee and the medieval town of Carlingford. 5 mins takes you to the M1 motorway which gets you to either Dublin or Belfast in under 1 hour. Knockbridge is rich in folklore CuChulainn made his last stand on the outskirts of the village at Clochafarmor while the Tain Bo Cuailgne made rest here at Loughantarbh. In St. Mary's Church there are some fine Harry Clarke windows and just outside the village is the award winning Stephenstown Pond with its nature trail and coffee shop. The village is well served by Bus Eireann between the towns of Dundalk and Ardee but for exploration a car is a requirement. The building is a tradition village pub with living accommodation overhead, the local community gather here for a pint and a bit of 'craic' and our guests would be made feel very at home here. The pub is said to have been a watering hole for the army of William of Orange on their way to the Battle of the Boyne in 1690. We have insulated and soundproofed as best we can but guests need to be aware that some noise maybe audible.
