The pool is circular and measures 7 meters by 7 meters with built in ledges for sitting. There are sun beds, patio furniture for relaxing and pool towels are provided in an outdoor cabinet. We can be available as often as you wish, and are able to provide recommendations for restaurants, local interests, and excursions. Visit the old church across the field which locals say predates the 11th century and has a bell in its tower donated as a gift by a queen of Spain in the (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) 's. Walk the trail down to the river for a swim or go all the way to the famous canyon, Stretti di Giaredo (water shoes recommended). The Apennine National Park is 1 hour away (38km) for beautiful mountain scenery and hiking. Spend a day exploring the nearby villages of Lunigiana or simply stay put and relax enjoying the rustic common areas, warm lighting and beautiful outdoor spaces. The town of Pontremoli is only 4km away and offers groceries, shopping, restaurants, a castle/museum and sightseeing. Taxi service is available from the house to town or the train station for about 10 euros one way. There are 2 bicycles available for your use. You can travel to many locations in Italy and beyond from the train station. Active folks can walk to and from town on a 2.5 mile (4 km) one way trek along paved roads. The Taverna will be open each morning for breakfast with locally sourced and organic options. Wines, spirits, beer and local meats and cheese are available for purchase.
