Pine Brook Guesthouse
Classic New England Cape Cod style house in beautiful setting. Only minutes from the village of Shelburne Falls, two "scenic byways", Great bicycling, and quiet walks and/or hikes. Guest room is nicely decorated with comfortable full size bed and a big bay window overlooking gardens and hills beyond. Private full bath across the hall/living room. The bright, nicely decorated guest room is in a traditional Cape Cod style house built in 1991 though often mistaken for being much older. The guest room is right off the front hall/entry. You're welcome to use that entrance or our usual entry at the kitchen. A private full bath is across the front hall/living area. You're welcome to use the yard and enjoy the gardens as well as our cozy porch for morning coffee.. Coffee and tea provided. We're not permitted to provide food. I'll generally be around during your stay to help with suggestions and directions to the many attractions in the area. There are lots of opportunities for outdoor activities including hiking, skiing, both Nordic and Alpine; biking, both mountain and touring. We're fifteen minutes from Berkshire East (downhill skiing and zip-lines with Thunder Mountain biking) Zoar Outdoor (rafting, kayaking, mountain biking and zip lines). The Clark Museum and Mass MOCA are 45 minutes away Amherst and Northampton are 35 minutes away. Tanglewood is an hour and 15 minutes. The house is located in a beautiful country setting but easily reached from routes 2 and 112. We are 12 minutes from Interstate 91. There is a bus that goes to and from Greenfield several times a day. Shelburne Falls is five minutes away. A very quaint village with artist galleries and studios, the Trolley Museum, as well as a number of very good restaurants/cafes, some with live music. There's also the Bridge of Flowers and the Glacial Potholes.
