An Hour North of The City But A Million MIles Away The Treehouse Lovenest is a charmingly unique 2 bedroom country lodge situated in upstate NY on nearly 3 acres of virgin forest in the Hudson Valley. Located an hour and 20 mins north of Brooklyn on the East side of the Hudson River, the two level house is perched up high amongst the trees and has recently been stylishly renovated. This loft like home has 18 foot ceilings in the living and dining areas, and an open-planned kitchen adjacent to a split level lounge area which is drenched in light. For those who like to sleep in, there are 2 new comfy, king-size beds. There's a well equipped kitchen with new appliances, and for all those who love to cook or wish they knew how, the kitchen has a fun and diverse library of wonderful cookbooks. If you are a child of the sixties or seventies you will love the awesome stereo and extensive eclectic collection of vinyl. A 1000 square foot deck wraps around the house, overlooking a charming stream which flows through a canyon on the property next to our dedicated grilling deck. Adjacent to 150 acres of NYC water supply land owned by the D.E.P, the area is home to an abundance of wildlife with deer seen almost on a daily basis. The house is an ideal getaway for couples looking to escape from the city and reconnect with nature, in a clean, simple, tastefully-created and mid-century modern inspired environment. The Treehouse Lovenest is a luscious retreat for couples who wish to unplug from the city. One weekend here will recharge your spirit and energize the soul. The only downside to the place is that you won't want to leave. Nearest metro north train stations are Cold Spring and Brewster. Call Carmel Taxis for cab rates Special holiday rates apply with a 3 night minimum booking requirement for the following periods New Years Eve, MLK Day, George Washington Birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day. Xmas Day. No smoking, No more than 4 guests. The base rate of $250 per night is for 2 guests. There is a $50 per person per night charge above 2 guests. Dogs are welcome however there is a $50 pet fee per stay. Upon booking guest will be asked to supply email and home address in order for a short term rental agreement to be completed and emailed to them. This agreement is a simple form which covers all the basics just to make sure that everyone is on the same page and that there is no confusion or ambivalence regarding the dates, times, and house rules. Also please also note that the house is not an actual Treehouse insofar as the house is not built on stilts nor is it constructed attached to the trees. The house is built on slopping ground on the side of a hill and the trees grow through and around the deck and when you're in the house at elevation you're surrounded by treetops therefore it gives a feeling and impression like you[re perched in the trees, moreso in summer and spring when foliage is abundant and less so in winter when the trees, without leaves, are butt naked.
