The barn is 200 years old situated in an English cottage garden. On the outside it's traditional wood painted black which opens up to a fabulous 30 square metres studio room which is bright and warm. It's characterful, comfortable and romantic. The interior of Old Store's Barn has a botanical feel to it with plant and bird artwork in the kitchenette and floral oil paintings in the living area. It has a cathedral ceiling with fantastic oak beams. The sleeping area has a comfortable king size bed beneath a gilded antique mirror. The living area has a small sofa, an armchair and a coffee table and there is a small dining table for eating or working at. The kitchenette is behind a low wall looking on to the living area. It has an oak worktop with cupboards underneath and is equipped with a kettle, microwave, toaster, fridge freezer and sink. There's also a plug in induction ring for cooking in pans if required. There is a bathroom with a shower, loo and basin which has a heated and illuminated mirror above. The shower is really powerful and has a rainfall head as well as a hand held one. The whole area has underfloor heating. Guests will have the barn to themselves as their private area for the duration of their stay. They will have their own key and can come and go as they please. On one end of the barn is a small store room which is closed off and locked from inside the barn. I live in the cottage with Toby the dog who is very friendly. I'm always happy to help in any way I can so please ask if there's anything you need. If possible I will be there to meet you and show you around but if you arrive when I'm out it's all pretty straight forward and you can go in and make yourselves at home. Waddesdon A magnificent house and grounds in the style of a 19th century French chateau with Victorian style gardens. Woburn Abbey Originally a monastery, Woburn Abbey was given by Edward VI to the Russell family in 1547.  Since then leading architects have created the stunning historic house that it is today. Ascott This half-timbered Jacobean farmhouse, transformed by the de Rothschilds towards the end of the  19th century, now houses an exceptional collection of paintings, fine furniture and superb oriental porcelain.  Extensive gardens are an attractive mix of formal and natural. Claydon In the 1750s at his family seat in Buckinghamshire, Sir Ralph Verny set out to create a country house of extraordinary grandeur that would dazzle his wealthy neighbours and outdo his political rivals.  Today the interiors that remain are among the most ambitious and lavish ever created in the 18th century. There are good rail connections. Leighton Buzzard is the closest station and a fast train to London Euston takes just 30 minutes. The public transport locally is very limited so your own car is essential for that. There is room to park either on the drive or opposite the cottage where there is off road parking. There are taxi and luxury car services if you don't want to drive. Old Store's Barn offers a stylish and supremely comfortable home-from-home. The kitchen cupboards are well-stocked with breakfast items enabling you to take breakfast in your own time.  The village pub, The Old Red Lion, is just a minutes walk and is great for a drink and enjoying the view of the vale.
