Spaceous, cosy apartment in Bernese Jura

The apartment is in an over 200 years old farmhouse. The farm is situated 1,000m above sea level on a beautiful plateau called the Jura. Close to France, this French speaking area is ideal for hiking, Montainbiking, skiing, cross-country skiing and more. It's beautiful untouched Swiss nature at its best! Our apartment has been beautifully renovated with love to the detail. It is spaceous with open plan living and very cosy with all the things you need to feel right at home. Surrounded by a farming community embedded in untouched, picturesque nature, surrounded by forest and meadows. You will stay in a house with other people living there permanently, but in your own private apartment. The beautiful outside area is shared with everyone. Unfortunately we won't be able to welcome you in person, since we live on the other side of the globe, in Australia. Staying in a small rural community, you can choose between the quietness and beauty of nature or visiting the nearby cities like Biel, Neuchatel, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Berne or Basel. You are only 20 mins away from the French border. Besides hiking, skiing, biking or cross-country skiing, you can also take the scenic train drive to La Chaux-de-Fonds. Being in the heart of Swiss watch making, some of the world's most renowned watch manufacturers call this area their home (Rolex, Omega, Festina, Longines, Swatch and Corum, to just name a few). There are watch museums but also the possibility to visit Corum, a watch factory of high-end watches. There is a bus station about 200m from the house. By bus you can get to the train stations of either St-Imier or Tramelan.
