Beautifully renovated and refurbished cottage (circa 1900), blending heritage charm with contemporary design. Located on a quiet tree-lined street just off The Parade. Less than 2kms from the Adelaide CBD. Sleeps up to 6 guests, with reverse cycle air conditioning and 1.5 bathrooms. Off-street parking. Pet friendly. This beautifully renovated and refurbished federation era cottage is situated on a quiet tree-lined street. Its design aesthetic reflects the cottage's heritage, while also offering functional and contemporary finishes to create an open, relaxed and art filled space. In the front part of the house are three spacious light-filled bedrooms with plantation shuttered windows (one with a King bed, one with a Queen bed, and one with two Single beds) and a relaxed sitting room with a new TV with Netflix. French doors open off the sitting room to the patio dining area and garden. Connecting the traditional four front rooms to the open plan rear extension is a Moroccan tiled walkway incorporating a hidden European laundry with washing machine/dryer. Adjacent is a newly renovated bathroom with walk in shower, bath, vanity and toilet; and a separate second toilet. The lofted rear-extension features a polished concrete floor and natural light filled living and dining areas, which surround an entertainer's kitchen. Surrounding the kitchen is the second living area with an additional TV connected to Netflix and the dining area - all of which overlook the tranquil back garden, lawn, undercover outdoor dining and seating areas and the grape vine framed carport. Meticulous attention to detail and design: a beautiful, functional and relaxing home. Guests have access to the entire property. Self check-in from 2pm on the day of your arrival via a key lockbox. Checkout is by 10am on the day of your departure. Flexible check in and check out available by prior arrangement, depending on availability. Your host won’t be on the property but will be available for anything you need during your stay. You will find a House Manual/ Guest Guidebook in the house which will also be sent to you electronically prior to arrival. You won’t be contacted after your arrival unless you make contact first. Host contact details are included in the House Manual. Self check-in from 2pm on the day of your arrival via a key lockbox. Checkout is by 10am on the day of your departure. Flexible check in and check out available by prior arrangement, depending on availability. The cottage is perfectly located around the corner from some of the eastern suburb's best culinary offerings such as the historic Colonist which has some of the best pub food Adelaide and South Australia has to offer (with a wine list to match), and the modern European bistro Orso and adjacent small bar Willmotts. Just a short stroll will find you at Tell Henry or Argos on The Parade – both of which make some of Adelaide's best coffee (and most delicious brunch). The vibrant Parade precinct is also just around the corner – offering cafes, restaurants, bars, supermarkets, speciality shops, boutiques, cinemas, art galleries and more. The cottage is less than 2km from the city of Adelaide, making it the perfect base from which to attend events such as The Fringe, The Adelaide Arts Festival, WOMADelaide, the Adelaide 500, and the Tour Down Under; watch sport or attend concerts at Adelaide Oval; or explore the Adelaide Central Market – the largest undercover produce market in Australia. The Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale wine regions and the scenic Fleurieu Peninsula are also all accessible and each under an hour's drive away.   Rundle Street and North Terrace – the cultural, fashion and dining hub of Adelaide – and the beautiful Botanic Garden are an easy 10 minute walk through the parklands (or 5 minute taxi / Uber), meaning the best of Adelaide is at your doorstep. Short walk to public transport. Easy walk into the city and to the local shops, cafes and restaurants on The Parade. Twenty minutes by car to the airport. Street parking: We have two parking permits for free parking on the street so street parking is available for two cars. It's a quiet, safe street. Finding a park outside or nearby the house should not be a problem. If guests have more than two cars please note there is a two hour parking limit on the street (9am - 5pm) Monday to Friday. The two hour parking limit doesn’t apply overnight or on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Off street parking available for a small car in the rear carport. The carport is accessed via a shared driveway and gates off the driveway. Parking at the rear of the house is not recommended for large 4 wheel drives/SUVs.
