Altaussee, Austria- ski resort

Altaussee is situated in the geographical center of Austria, also known as the Salzkammergut. Altaussee is renowned amongst Austrians as an idyllic and premier holiday destination. It's the perfect place for people who are sporty or enjoy the Alps. One of the closest private houses to the ski area, in beautiful surroundings, with easy access to the slopes and local village (5 min. slopes/7mins. local village & lake area). Newly renovated Austrian house with all the mod cons (fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, washer/drier, free strong wifi connection, traditional Austrian woodburner (Kachelofen), cosy sitting area with flat screen TV, 4 lovely double bedrooms (sleeps 8). Two large bathrooms (featuring bath/shower/WC), one washroom with WC also situated downstairs. Contactable throughout the day via telephone/e-mail. World championship Mountain biking and unrivalled beautiful walks in summer and winter. Great family ski area, if you want to get away from the crowd, and there is a tree climbing park in summer. The drink water quality lake is just over 1k from the house. There are also many other beautiful lakes to enjoy in the area. The Dachstein glacier is a great day out, with the new sky walk, as well as the ice caves in summer. A local government tax of €2.50/adult (from 16 years)/person/day will charged, and asked to be paid in cash upon arrival. This is a local government tax, which has to be paid by the host to the local government (Gemeinde) by the host.
