Most guests are long stays all have loved the peaceful privacy of this cozy studio & pristine beauty of Newcastle. Though rural, we are only 1 mile from the freeway and within 15 mins from Roseville, 6 mins from Auburn, Sacramento area. Great space with living room, comfy bedroom, beautiful linens, kitchenette, sunroom, patio, gas BBQ, electric fireplace, 32" flat screen TV/Cable/DVR WIFI. Our home was once on the cover of House and Garden as the HOUSE OF THE FUTURE. It is a Post and Beam - Passive Solar House and is built Solar South into the side of a hill on 3 levels. The studio apartment is on the lower floor and opens up to the dell below the house where you might often see deer, owls, wild turkeys, bunny rabbits and all manner of Gods creatures from the comfort of your indoor and outdoor private patio. If you're looking for a little nature you're in the right spot. Depending on the season, pick a pear or two from our pear orchard or grab some fresh oranges or grapefruits from the tree's to make some juice for breakfast. There is a very cute kitchen with all the important appliances; coffee maker, toaster / convection oven, microwave, hot plate, large fridge, plenty of dishes and utensils. The bathroom has shower (no bath) and plenty of extra storage. There is a great little desk area and a good sized walk in closet. The cozy living area includes TV/DirectTV / DVR, a nice cozy reading chair and a love seat in front of an electric fireplace. The enclosed sunroom includes a breakfast nook and access to small sun deck outside with deck chairs and an umbrella. Note the bedroom, bathroom, closet and desk area are in a raised floor. Ceiling height changes to 7ft. This the 4th floor down at the bottom of a split level home. If you are looking for peace and tranquility, this is the perfect place to relax. We will consider pets with extra cleaning fee and under specific approval. No dogs over 30lbs and no bully breeds. We do have 2 chihauahas on the property that rule the house. Studio is self contained and has a perfect little glass enclosed porch/indoor patio and a deck for dinning. DirectTV with DVR and WIFI also included. Private entry. We are a friendly couple and enjoy people of all types. We look forward to meeting new friends and fellow travelers. Expect to find your kitchen stocked with a favorites - tea, coffee. Beautiful rolling hills home, just 1 mile from I80 and about 3 miles from Auburn in the heart of Gold Country. Beautiful scenic drives and a favorite for bicycle enthusiasts. We are surrounded by craft wineries, organic farms and orchards. Newcastle town center is only 1 mile away where you will find Newcastle Produce. This is a lovely local country farm store not only for groceries but for wonderful hot counter foods, gourmet deli items and coffee. Or you can try Newcastle Pizza for take-n-bake pizza, or The Cheese Shop with their world famous Rat Trap sandwiches. Wells Fargo Bank is conveniently located in town along with antique and curio shops. Auburn, just a couple of miles up the road is the county seat. Auburn is filled with great little restaurants, antique shops and art galleries. This is a historical area with lots of festivals throughout the year. Known as the endurance capital of the world Auburn hosts the Tevis 100 Mile Endurance Horse Race every summer and is the gateway to the Sierra's. Drive 1 hour to Ski in Truckee / Lake Tahoe or 15 minutes to get to water sports of Lake Folsom and 30 minutes to Sacramento Rivers. 20 minutes to The American River. 1 hour drive will take you to the quaint village of Coloma where they made the first gold strike and now boasts not only 19th century living history but World Class river rafting and award winning wineries. if you like to run or hike you have only to walk out of the front door to access the beautiful countryside, lakes and rivers are close by for fishing and boating. We are 40 miles from Sacramento Airport. You definitely need transportation in the area as we are a rural community, public transportation is very limited. We are 30 minutes from Folsom down a country Road and 15 minutes from Roseville or Rocklin if you want the convenience of Shopping Malls many Restaurant's and Movie's etc. The studio is meant for 2 people only. We require that the person booking be the person staying on the property and that guests are approved. This is a very private protery and a home away from home.
