Greek House – Monolithos

Renovated traditional house with historic features, located in the heart of Monolithos village, with views over the sea and the surrounding mountains. Guests of the house are also welcome to the Greek House taverna and wine cellar for a free wine tasting. The recently renovated old mansion, dating back in 1940, can comfortably accommodate 4-6 people and is located in the heart of Monolithos. This stone house has kept many historic features even after its renovation. The design intention was to seamlessly blend the structure of the Greek House into the texture of the existing traditional village. The layout inside offers 78m² of living space, elegantly separating the kitchen area from the living room and bedrooms with a beautiful arch in the middle of the room. It has magnificent thick stone walls, wooden beams on the ceilings, one spacious living room with sofa beds and fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, two double bedrooms, one bathroom and a charming Greek courtyard with BBQ facilities and a sitting area. Guest will have the entire property for themselves. Also they are welcome to the Greek House taverna and the wine cellar. The village of Monolithos is one of the most traditional villages in Rhodes which has kept its character with beautiful old stone buildings and narrow streets. Monolithos has many attractions for visitors, the most famous being Monolithos Castle. There are many mountain trails and walks in the surrounding area nearby the House which has an abundance of wild flowers and herbs. The village is easily accessible by car, located 75 km from the city of Rhodes and 60 km from Diagoras International Airport. Greek House offers the original traditional accommodation in an old renovated village mansion dated back in the 1940. Parking for all types of vehicles is available on site. Within a seven minutes drive there are four beautiful beaches, two of which organized with deck chairs and umbrellas.
