It is based on the agro Romano and it was built during the early 900’. The main structure runs around the medieval tower, and it is surrounded by a park with plants and olive trees. We started in 2011 the restoration of the main building with great care and love for the style we wanted to keep in. Demolition materials were reused in a creative way : the old roof tiles have become the square in front of the portico, the use of terracotta, wood, green Tuff and the renovated old furniture with shabby chic style have given a special warm and harmonious atmosphere all around the Casale. Rural elements can be found in the large arch, in the barn and in the oven. GENERAL DESCRIPTION of ALL ROOMS All rooms have air conditioning cool/heat, private bath, tv, free wi-fi. The rooms and the breakfast room are non-smoking but you can smoke in the garden. You can walk, run, play, read a book, just simply relax on large pillows and sofas in the park of Casale del gelso, and if want to eat outside, make pizza, cook in the kichen in the cottage, organize Barbecue or bake in a proper oven wood fired, there is a specific area dedicated just to it. All travellers are welcome, from singles to couples, from families to friends at 4 paws! They will have a very large space dedicated just to them in which running without disturbing the guests and our cute cat Emilio. Mark and Patricia welcome you with warm hospitality. Our activities are the BEES honey tasting Sweet breakfasts and the teaching visit to our Apiary with honey, the garden our meadow is a field of infinite riches: chicory, Borage, ramoraccia, Burnet ... Strolling through the olive trees, our guests are free to gather and enjoy a fresh salad from field or if you prefer, you can take home our products to find scents and smells of the House of Mulberry. HARVESTING OLIVES a day together, a good experience, a way to enjoy our products. Extra Virgin olive oil Casale del Gelso is an oil obtained from olives of different qualities, including Frantoio, Leccino, Rosciola. We harvest our olives by hand only, it will be funny to do it together with you. A joyful and tasty snack under the olive trees, a basket full of goodies, a fire to warm up and the smell of freshly pressed oil.
