Many people have used our cottage when attending functions at the Eden Project Whilst walking in Charlestown see if you recognise any of the settings or images from the many films produced in Charlestown Harbour and surrounding coastline. Carlyon beach is also 5-6 mins away or a 15/20 minute walk. This coastline is particularly good for paddle boarding and canoeing due to the bays protection from winds etc - unlike the north coast. However the north coast is always worth a visit Dog friendly beaches nearby are : Duporth beach, Hallane cove (near Trenarren) and Par beach. There are lovely walks from King's Wood in the Pentewan Valley. If Golf is your passion then again you are spoilt for choice. St Austell, Carlyon Bay and Porthpean are all 5-10 mins away and all welcome visitors. There is space in the cottage outbuildings to store your clubs! Many guests have commented and been pleased to see they are close to the bars and restaurants and yet far enough away to avoid the noise associated with this. All within easy walking distance. See my guidebooks on recommendations. I would always recommend booking restaurants in advance particularly during the busier periods At the front of the cottage adjacent to the road is the beautiful 'Charlies Coffee shop' . Handy for breakfast or just coffee when you want that lazy well deserved morning brecky! Dave and the team are exceptionally welcoming. Open 9-5pm in season Also and almost opposite is the beautiful 'Brocante' gift, homeware and apparel shop. Previously only in Mevagissey,St Ives and Fowey and now opened Dec 21 in Charlestown.
