St Emilion, Pomerol à quelques km. Vendanges 2021. Venez dans notre jolie fermette avec son jardin privatif et ses chaises longues,pour profiter de cette magnifique arrière saison et les derniers rayons de soleil !Des moments de farniente, l'oeno-tourisme, balades pour se mettre en appétit et apprécier la gastronomie locale! Limitrophe Dordogne/Gironde, très bien situées pour découvrir les grands vignobles de la région-St Emilion, Pomerol,ainsi que le magnifique pays de Michel de Montaigne. We have baby/toddler equipment on request : a folding cot, a highchair, and a potty ! Also a little activity table and chair suitable for up to 5 years old. All rooms overlook our south-west facing private garden and fenced swimming pool. There are sun-loungers and a parasol by the pool and garden furniture on our shady terrace for outdoor meals. Not forgetting a (portable) BBQ ! A well-equipped kitchen/breakfast room leads through to the living room, where the ambiance is cosy comfort, with several armchairs and a big sofa enhanced by the original ceiling beams, the exposed stone walls and a large traditional fireplace with a wood-burning stove for off- season use only. The tiled floors and the thickness of the old stone walls help to maintain a welcome coolness in the heat of those hot summer days in July and August. On the ground floor there are 2 twin bedrooms a large bathroom (WC, bathtub, bidet and double wash basins) And a second separate WC. Upstairs there is a Shower room with WC and wash basin. 1 double bedroom 2 communicating single bedrooms. Although I don’t live on site, I always meet our guests personally on arrival so there are no complicated key-holder arrangements, and I’m only a phone call away at all times, should you need to get in touch with me. There is plenty to see and do and I am happy to pass on some of our favorite addresses.. I also have a drawer full of tourist guides and information if you prefer to explore and discover by yourselves! You can be as busy or as lazy as you wish ! We are only half an hour from St Emilion, Pomerol and other world famous wine estates and Chateaux. An attractive farmhouse « Longère style » 4/5 bedrooms with a private swimming pool and garden, located in a hamlet in the heart of the Dordogne countryside between St Emilion and Bergerac. les Vignobles has been our family holiday home for over 30 years. Our village (Villefranche de Lonchat) is a 60 minute drive from Bordeaux Airport, 40 minutes from Bergerac airport; 30 minutes from the TGV and main line trains at Libourne and within 35 minutes of some of the world's most renowned vineyards. - St. Emilion, Pomerol, Bergerac, - 2 hours from the Atlantic coast, Dune du Pyla and the oysters of Arcachon ! We are ideally situated to explore this beautiful area of France, with plenty to see locally « au Pays de Michel de Montaigne » and Castillon la Bataille, also within easy reach of the many major heritage sites - Vallée de la Vézère, listed as world heritage by UNESCO for the numerous prehistoric sites to be found there. (The famous Prehistoric cave paintings of Lascaux, not forgetting Cromagnon Man at Les Eyzies) and the magnificent Dordogne River Valley et ses châteaux. Ours is a cosy farmhouse in a peaceful rural setting, surrounded by farmland and vineyards. The beautiful scenery in this area makes it a joy for walking and cycling. Views vary from a panorama of rolling hills and farmland, to green patchworks of neatly trimmed vineyards; with the occasional chateau or hill-top fortress. For the early riser, the view across the valley from the top is well worth the walk up the hill to our village boulangerie - bring home some breakfast croissants and a warm crusty "Baguette" or 2 ! Less than 2 kms away, a pleasant walk down country lanes, is a well appointed leisure site Base de Loisir LAC DE GURSON covering several acres of picturesque local countryside. There is a large lake with a safe sandy beach (lifeguard on duty during summer season) canoeing, a children's swing park, a lakeside snack bar and shady picnic sites. There is Canoeing and Fishing on the Dordogne River at Pessac-sur-Dordogne or at Ste Foy La Grande, a pretty market town which is only 12 kms away, or a Gabarre boat ride along the river l'Isle from St Martial d’Artenset. A scenic 18 hole Golf Course at Le Chateau de Vigiers (35 minutes drive) and another one in Perigueux (50 mins drive). I am only a phone call away if need be, whether for local information or help with the language - for non French speakers ! Ambiance rurale, plein d'opportunités de balades , oeno-tourisme, à pied ou en vélo. Sommes au calme mais pas isolé. Seulement 10 minutes à pied du bourg pour chercher son pain siroter un petit café sur la place du village ou diner au petit restaurant aussi ! 2 km de la base de loisirs du Lac de Gurson avec grand lac, plage, canoës et baignade surveillée en saison estivale. vehicule
