Le Tournié Retreat is set in a beautiful isolated site in the middle of the French countryside. The facilities explicitly cater to those who are looking for a peaceful retreat in beautiful natural surroundings while at the same time relaxing in luxurious contemporary accommodation. Le Tournié is a delightful property nestled in the beautiful hilly landscapes of the Lot-et-Garonne region in Southwest of France. The region is renowned for its stunning nature, waterways, castles and medieval fortified towns. The closest village to Le Tournié is Laroque Timbault, 3 miles away, which dates back to at least the 13th century and where you can bear witness to its medieval past. Le Tournié consists of two properties adjacent to each other. The central facility is a recently converted 18th century barn that houses three guest bedrooms, the gym, sauna, meeting room, break-out area, and dining facilities. The master bedroom is on two-stories with a private library and large bathroom. There are two guest bedrooms with twin beds and their own bathrooms. Accommodation is also available in the adjoining 18th century converted farmhouse. The large master bedroom with private bathroom and studio is built around an 18th century original stone oven. The bedroom has a private entrance and small terrace garden. A smaller, but charming, guest bedroom is also available. The entire property combines a rustic charm with modern kitchen equipped for gourmet cooking and modern bathroom facilities. Le Tournié is set on 3-4 acres of beautiful grounds and benefits from a 17 metre lap pool with Italian tiling and contemporary pool furniture to relax in comfort. Le Tournié enjoys spectacular panoramic views across the surrounding countryside and is the perfect place for relaxing in peace and tranquillity. There is, however, plenty to discover in the neighbouring areas such as Bastides and other medieval towns, museums and caves. If you are looking for something more energetic then then are plenty of opportunities to undertake activities such as golf, archery, rock climbing, horse riding, hiking and bike trailing, quad biking and dune buggies, paintball, go-karts and swimming, along with other water-based activities. There are also a number of fabulous restaurants within close driving distance of Le Tournie. In Laroque Timbaut you will find a couple of small grocery stores, two bakeries and a butcher. Le Tournie is located approximately 20 km (12.5 miles) from Agen (which has TGV service) and is approximately 135 km (85 miles) from Toulouse. We provide all local transportation for guests although guests can, if they wish, provide their own transportation. Guests are met at either the Toulouse or Bordeaux airports or at the Agen Train Station which has TGV service from Paris.
